However you were going to bid A330 as a junior or bottom guy and that would have maintained your quality of life?

Shifting gears a bit:
I put in a "swap with the pot" for a trip next month. when do they run those in the PCS system. I thought i read somewhere they run them every 6 or 12 hours. it is for a trip the last week of july. Thanks! Vol |
So again, I'm going to post something about our ground ops.
Disreguard. Not the correct forum. Thanks. |

That is a good point. Keeping that thought in mind, how many side letters did Moak sign? Certainly we could have gotten this fixed. Problem is it's a FNWA problem and he could not give two $hi++$ about such a thing.
The company had agreed to a much better contract back in February of 2008. The NWA MEC wanted to delay the deal so they could get arbitration for the seniority list. That was their choice. The second round had a worse contract for everyone, but the NWA pilots took much bigger hits because they were getting the majority of the benefits in the first round. Trying to blame Lee Moak is just intellectually dishonest. The contract was agreed and voted on by your MEC and your pilots, if you did not get to vote, then you knew that when you were hired. Your benefits were set in that contract. Your pay rates now are more than double my B-Scale rates while my captain's pay is less than when I got hired. Life sucks. Everyone would like to point out some little section of the contract that needs to be fixed just for them. If you get your issues fixed, then I get my issues fixed too. Then everyone else gets their issues fixed. Wait that's what happens in Section 6 negotiations. Until then, you are not special, your issues mean the same as mine, I just spend less time crying about them. The whiny wheel does not get the grease, no matter how much they whine. |

The problem for us is our procedures/limitations for SE taxi......
Some of those were "NWA only" limitations, and no longer apply... |
So I just got called for an IA for a 3 day. Really? You've ripped through the reserves already?
Guess ya better start those classes a little sooner. I may have done it if they gave me GS pay for the WHOLE thing, but since I'm on reserve tomorrow they only want to give me GS pay for today. Looks like they'll be cancelling another couple of flights. |
I was thinking of down bidding to the A320 to recapture some seniority. Good idea or bad?
