REALLY? You actually took the time to post something like this on a forum. You see, it's not only the north guys that can be complete tools...

Took me 1 minute.

There is no reason to be that lazy. What is being toolish about doing things right?

Are you an Airbus pilot, familiar with the weight/power restrictions for taxi out, taxi in, etc? I'm thinking you are not. Your comments are completely arrogant and probably ill informed.

I'm very familiar with the airplane, its requirements, and history.

You've picked the wrong battle.

I haven't been on the 320 for about 2 years but from what I remember our procedures were pretty restrictive for SE taxi. The heat, soft taxiway/ramp material, and N1 limits for ground operations really curbs when SE taxi works. I am NOT saying that we can't do better just that things aren't always as they appear.

Now as for APU usage, get air on my plane when I pull in and I will shut it down. Passenger comfort is paramount and getting on a hot plane sucks! The ground guys need to get much better at supplying AC/heat upon arrival once that is done I think you will see a major shift in APU usage.

USAIR also single engines taxi's most of the time from what I have seen on the JS on the A320.

The problem for us is our procedures/limitations for SE taxi......

However you were going to bid A330 as a junior or bottom guy and that would have maintained your quality of life?
