All you have to do is ask for the number, they will be more than happy to give it to you.

T, that was not the point and you know that. We want all of that back, of course.

Lets figure out how. I am open to any ideas you have.

doesn't sound like 305 new hires is going to do the trick with all those M88 and 320 vacancies, and the Dog 9s sticking around. Just connecting the dots, right ACL?

What's Vegas have for numbers, what's the spread? ACL?

I say, 400 newbies on property with a "hiring pool" again, so as to pick more into training as the need arises of another.............150.

Any guesses?

Fly safe,

It is east Misc menu, Misc report, code 12 (do not have my cheat sheet in front of me) and input the number. They do not know to give their number to you, so get it from the gate agent and make it transparent and do your job.

True. On an international flight you have a Purser, only one of those and it's designated on the crew list so they get Purser pay. On a domestic flight, they "bid" for positions, so as you guessed the junior person gets stuck with "lead". In this case, the company has no way of knowing who was lead. I guess they could log it later, like landings, but at the moment they don't do it that way.

I always just made it a joke (with the girls:cool:). I'd make a big production of getting my pen and a piece of paper and saying "I know we just met, but if I could get your number". It always went over well, they knew you were trying to take care of them and you were approachable.

Technique only,
Ferd

The guys at NATCO are saying they've been told 305 this year then 60 per month starting in January and that will continue for most of 2011. That would probably cover the 88 and 320 vacancies in addition to the -9's sticking around for summer 2011. The APD that did my LOE said they are anticipating newhires in the 320 program sometime around September.

Generally it is changed by the gate agents. Remember, before we had ACARS, the Gate Agents were the ones who logged all the times from our little green time cards. I believe their motivation for changing the times is mainly for getting more on time arrivals and departures, but I've seen the times quite different from what was actually flown with no logic for the change. ????? So who knows?

Question for regarding APD days. I'm sure this has been hashed to death but I have never needed to do APD days until next month. I have a four day trip I need to get dropped and have put it on the Swap boards in addition to applying for an APD. As far as the APD goes, do you need to do an APD for all 4 days of the trip or just one and the whole trip will drop thereby allowing you to pick up other trips if you need to? I read Section 23, but can't find the answer in there.

Would think that the gate agents should not have any ability to change the times. Not only does it change pay, but it also does not show a true presentation of what is going on at the gate. Aircraft should be wired to show brake rel, main door closure and cgo door closure. I have a real issue with any one changing the time without notification.

If you for sure are not going to fly over those 4 days, then APD all 4 days. If there is even the hint of the possibility that you might want to fly over any of those days, only APD one of the days. The first day of the trip works really good!
