Hey guys,
I've got recurrent in July and am trying to modify my travel to ATL the training guys put in for me. Apparently, the system has changed and we can't do it ourselves anymore. Is that true? All I want to do is change the flight to ATL and leave the return flight alone. Do I have to call training for that? Seems like a waste of my time and theirs. |

Short answer: yes. Even the pass travel folks cannot change it. I had the same problem in April. I just e-mailed training, had them cancel the entire reservation and re-booked my own company travel.

Waves,
They are paid by ACARS times. The difference is the "lead" gets a little more for being lead, it's not much more and why the senior mommas don't think its enough for the trouble. Someday, we will enter 3 employee numbers into the ACARS (hopefully 2 of 3 will auto load). The capt, the fo and the lead fa. The fa will get lead pay, and then you can log takeoffs and landings on the summary page post flight. Do fDal FAs get Aline pay? If so, how is it done? Is that FA designated pretrip like the Purser? If pre-identified, then only the flight deck crew would need to go into the ACARS for TO and landing currency, and those could auto load. Dream a little dream for me................... Ferd |

Not sure what you mean. They are paid by ACARS time, same as you and me. That's why we put their numbers in the ACARS.........................huh??????????

Thanks Ferd. Yes the A line or whatever they're calling them this week, gets a little more pay. We have never had to enter them into ACARS. My point again is that this looks very much like another company deception and cost saver. By placing the burden on us, it gives the company an excuse for nonpayment because it will be obviously overlooked by many flight crews.

think this has already been posted, but here is a refresh.
This is the difference between the forecast staffing report (PWA 22 D.3) and the projected category list for December 2010, based on the May 2010 bid award. I have left out any categories where the shortfall was less than 5 pilots: ATL M88 (35) DTW 320 (55) DTW DC9 (17) MEM DC9 (14) MSP 320 (48) MSP M88 (62) MSP DC9 (11) NYC M88 (33) As mentioned, a number of holes on the Bus in DTW and MSP, but also quite a few on the 88 in MSP, as well as a few on the 88 NYC, ATL, and DC9 in all bases. Of course the "hole plugger" might have to fill spots in some kind of priority order, so only some of the apparent vacancies would be available to any given class. |

Depends on if their contract survives or not.....
Their pay is transparent to us and DBMS takes care of it. Once the fNWA FAs transition to DBMS, then we shouldn't have to fool with it either. On another note, when they, (fNWA) get rerouted to a DH, they cannot make the reservation in TravelNet, because they are not in DBMS. In fact, had a group of them that we were rerouted with who told me they can't even make non rev listings in TravelNet for personal travel. |

The guy that called me about coming back said the holes are in the 320, MSP and DTW. Some 88's, maybe in NYC and ATL. That was a week ago, might have changed.
This came from the guy that fills the holes.. fyi |
