"One Great Team" Pass Booking The One Great Team passes awarded to employees after the merger can no longer be booked through TravelLine, which is the telephone system used for checking flight availability and listing for non-revenue travel. All award travel must be booked by a reservations agent. To speak to an agent to book award travel, employees need to call 1-800-MY-DELTA (1-800-693-3582) and select option #2 for Employee Services. After entering a 9-digit PPR and a 6-digit pass eligibility date, employees should select option #1 for Pass Travel and then option #3 for One Great Team and other Employee Award Travel. Reservations agents will help them identify flights with available inventory and book reservations. Employees are encouraged to research flight numbers and availability on TravelNet - or TravelLine if they do not have access to a computer - before calling to expedite the booking process. Carl |

I just landed in FRA, and had the worst flight attendant crew I have had in all the time I have been at DAL. It is difficult to sleep at this point, and maybe the rant you were on is part of the problem, but there are other much deeper issues at work here (in this particular case). I would go on, but I probably have already said more than I should.
Auf Wiedersein (apologies to German spellers) P.S. On another quick FA topic. Hey I thought the fNWA FA's didn't want to fly with DAL S guys. |

Waves, I agree with you 100%. The train has jumped the tracks. Everywhere I've been the past two days, the FAs have been in an uproar about these procedures. Also, fleet isn't helping because the containers don't have the typical layouts that they used to ... and/or are missing stuff. One set of FAs told me that fleet (MSP) installed the drawers upside down, so when they were pulled out, the stuff fell on the floor. (I want to know, how did they get it in there?)
Anyhow, management need to wake up and see whats going on. Something's wrong ... very wrong. Also, the formerDAL pilots aren't listing the lead former NWA FA into ACARs and thus they're aren't being paid properly. It is a bulletin that many have ignored. They are getting angry at us. It is so simple. I've had two captains now ask me "what are you doing?" ... "Im making sure the FAs are going to get paid" ... "Oh, we're supposed to do that????" Ugh  I've never flown with a fNWA's FA, but as far as the ACARS entry goes: This should not be something we should be tasked with. We should not be held accountable for their pay in any way. This sounds like just another method of shafting the FA's out of their extra pay. Did you know that years ago, if we returned to the gate, the ACARS would log the return so we always got paid for it, so the company removed this little feature without telling anyone. A Data Analyst friend of mine was involved in the change and he told me the company was making millions from that little change. That is why I always check my rotation times. By the way, you've probably noticed as well, but your actual times are often changed without your approval. Just FYI. |

Thanks KC for the reply. My wife just told me that on the way to LAX, the new service took 2 hours and 10 minutes. On the way back, they did it the old way and it took exactly one hour. I also told her about the upside down drawers and she said that was done intentionally. The FA's are not getting the things they need and often times have to call cabin service back. i.e. No corkscrew for a 5 hour flight. So when cabin service comes back, sometimes it sounds like the FA's are yelling at them. Upside down drawers is one method of retaliation.

As much as I would like this to be true, the company would have to cancel, re-instate or re-bid a whole heapload captain/FO of positions, since the last AE attritted about half the DC-9 staffing in preparation of parking 30 some odd -30s and 11 -40s.
Nu For the CAPTS probably, depending on training dates, for the FOs we are hiring :) The company can get guys into those FO seats this Fall. Scoop |

I keep a log for two reasons. First, you never know when I might be looking for another job. Second, I notice the times are consistently changed -- sometimes for the good and bad. If they failed to pay me for something, I fill out the times change form. Nobody has ever called me out on that.

Ugh  Funny thing is that most of the International Ca's I fly with know about it, but it only needs to be done on domestic legs. It is east Misc menu, Misc report, code 12 (do not have my cheat sheet in front of me) and input the number. They do not know to give their number to you, so get it from the gate agent and make it transparent and do your job. |
