Found it, we always had to enter the lead's employee number in so they would get the extra nickle or so they get for being lead. It was on the same page we entered both the capt and fo numbers in........which linked to the takeoff and landing update page.
Ferd <--------finger in the eye of the "blue" acars :D PS Ruined my best pickup line..........."I know we just met, but if I could get your number";) PILOTS FLYING AN AIRCRAFT WITH A "BLUE" ACARS MUST ACCOMPLISH THE FOLLOWING: -ON THE ACARS "MAIN INDEX" SCREEN, SELECT "MISC MENU" -SELECT "MISC RPT" -ENTER THE NUMBER "12" IN THE "FRMT NO" FIELD -PRESS "EDIT TEXT" AND ENTER THE PRE-MERGER FLIGHT ATTENDANT EMPLOYEE NUMBER -PRESS "SEND" |

What are you doing with those old ones Ferd! :D
Carl :D Thank goodness I wasn't drinking anything, I'd snorted it out on my computer and that'd been just another freaking expensive thing I'd have had to replace in the last two weeks around here. |

Side Question:
On the latest AE I was awarded SLC 320 and am scheduled to train in November, convert in December. On the AE coming in August, I would like to try for Seattle 767. Can I do this or am I seat locked for 24 months? I guess what I'm asking is can I receive a new/better award if I have not converted to my most recent award. Go ahead and bid SEA 7ER. DAL has discretion on awarding the new slot or holding you to SLC320. (It would be under Filing Vacancies in the PWA.) Good Luck! |

Also, the formerDAL pilots aren't listing the lead former NWA FA into ACARs and thus they're aren't being paid properly. It is a bulletin that many have ignored. They are getting angry at us. It is so simple. I've had two captains now ask me "what are you doing?" ... "Im making sure the FAs are going to get paid" ... "Oh, we're supposed to do that????" Ugh

As much as I would like this to be true, the company would have to cancel, re-instate or re-bid a whole heapload captain/FO of positions, since the last AE attritted about half the DC-9 staffing in preparation of parking 30 some odd -30s and 11 -40s.

From today's Trim Tab:
"One Great Team" Pass Booking The One Great Team passes awarded to employees after the merger can no longer be booked through TravelLine, which is the telephone system used for checking flight availability and listing for non-revenue travel. All award travel must be booked by a reservations agent. To speak to an agent to book award travel, employees need to call 1-800-MY-DELTA (1-800-693-3582) and select option #2 for Employee Services. After entering a 9-digit PPR and a 6-digit pass eligibility date, employees should select option #1 for Pass Travel and then option #3 for One Great Team and other Employee Award Travel. Reservations agents will help them identify flights with available inventory and book reservations. Employees are encouraged to research flight numbers and availability on TravelNet - or TravelLine if they do not have access to a computer - before calling to expedite the booking process. Additional information is located on the Travel site on Employee Connection on DeltaNet and can be accessed from any computer by Delta employees, retirees and survivors. ACARS Entry Required for PMNW Lead Flight Attendant As a reminder, the PMNW employee number for PMNW Lead Flight Attendants must be entered after ACARS initialization for domestic flights. This step is required since PMNW flight attendants remain on their legacy computer system. International flights that have a Purser do not require this step to be completed. Reference EFOB 10-09 dated 16Apr10 for more detailed information. |

xjkl;pJUST FYI: Please pass this around and maybe we can get a change going. In case you haven’t noticed, our FA’s have a completely new service procedure which in itself may be very detrimental to our company and ultimately to yours and my paycheck. These new procedures create absolute havoc in the back of our aircraft and make our FA’s look like total buffoons (don’t even go there with me). If you think that is funny, then you don’t have a grasp of the total picture. We are only half of the front. The new procedures include separate carts and ultimately have doubled our passenger’s service time. Literally it is so bad, that the instigators of this absurd new service have already had so many passenger complaints that the company line is, “Well, if you can figure out how to do it better, then go ahead and do it.” Are you kidding me? Can you imagine if our flight ops department just threw up their hands and said that? “Well if you can figure out a better approach checklist, then just do it and let us know how it works out.” I’m serious when I say that this moronic service is going to drive many of our customers away. By the way, I just found out that our DAL FA’s assumed this idiotic service came from NWA’s and vice versa. Neither is correct. This is a completely new ill-conceived service of which neither side can be blamed for. We can once again safely lay blame at the idiots in charge of FA cabin service. Many of these personnel haven’t ever been a FA nor ever participated in a service at all. These are the dweebs making decisions about our cabin service. Because you probably don’t have a clue as to what is actually happening behind your closed door, you may not know that you should probably be apologizing to every passenger that exits your aircraft. I could give some ridiculous examples, but I think my point is already quite clear. Our inputs to management generally have some credibility and normally don’t go upon deaf ears. Just remember, after pushback, it is your aircraft. Do you really want to be in charge of such a disastrous evolution? I’m just saying.------------
P.S. OK Buzz, you are a hard act to follow. Keep em cumming. Auf Wiedersein (apologies to German spellers) |
