Great news about the -9. If they still have life left on them, why ground them. They're paid off and if oil stays beloew what they planned, might as well to try and make some money off of them.

A bunch of captains are not getting displaced till Dec. New hires will probably get some dc-9 positions. I am just passing along what I heard in natco.

Would think that the gate agents should not have any ability to change the times. Not only does it change pay, but it also does not show a true presentation of what is going on at the gate. Aircraft should be wired to show brake rel, main door closure and cgo door closure. I have a real issue with any one changing the time without notification.

Ice, I couldn't agree more. Fortunately it doesn't happen near as often as it used to. I think this ACARS fNWA's lead entry is just a way to short the FA's. That pay should be tracked by computer based on their rotation and ACARS times.

there was also DC9A reinstatement's on the last AE, it wouldnt be hard for the company to cover the -40 dc9s. We only have 11 of them i believe?

the more the merry!!

I'll believe the DC-9 -30's and 40's are sticking around when I see one in Delta paint.

I doubt that'll ever happen. I'm keeping my fingers crossed the -30 and -40's stick around longer, but their days are number. I have serious doubts tthey'll be here next spring, but just maybe they'll find a need through next summer. Have to be a glass half full on something.

Not sure what you mean. They are paid by ACARS time, same as you and me. That's why we put their numbers in the ACARS.........................huh??????????

The fnwa fa's are scheduled with a completely different system. This is why we have to put their # in the ACARS if they're lead.

When you send the in-range with a fdal fa crew you'll receive their next flight info with departure times & gate info. You will NOT receive this info for a fnwa fa crew because they are scheduled with a different system. That's how it was explained to me. FWIW

Waves,
They are paid by ACARS times. The difference is the "lead" gets a little more for being lead, it's not much more and why the senior mommas don't think its enough for the trouble.

Someday, we will enter 3 employee numbers into the ACARS (hopefully 2 of 3 will auto load). The capt, the fo and the lead fa. The fa will get lead pay, and then you can log takeoffs and landings on the summary page post flight.

Do fDal FAs get Aline pay? If so, how is it done? Is that FA designated pretrip like the Purser? If pre-identified, then only the flight deck crew would need to go into the ACARS for TO and landing currency, and those could auto load.

Dream a little dream for me...................

What is the easiest way to reset/update my Delta E-mail account? I have not used it since the last round of hiring and need to reinstate it.

Thanks Scoop - Getting close to the 1000 post club :)
