Yes, but only duty periods where you fly the airplane count. Duty periods with just a deadhead do not count. We only sit 18 days of reserve to begin with. I keep getting 4 day trips with 3 duty periods due to red-eyes ending it. It's very hard to get 15 duty periods in a month on reserve without working on some X days.

You will be drawing money from your 401k before that happens.

Exactly. Now I'm all for getting whatever we can get... profit sharing, whatever. But I've seen DALPA officials talk as if profit sharing is somehow going to make us whole for a lot of the cuts we have taken. As you can see, it's not even a drop in the proverbial bucket!

I don't trust what the book keepers can fiddle with for the purpose of getting the outcome they desire. The accountants probably have their own form of "profit sharing" if they can make the best use of their accounting gimmicks.

One day when I become a 747 pilot, I will get more appropraite bling-bling (see below), something that people will see from afar and go "look kids, a Delta 747 pilot."

"must be some sort of noise abatement departure, or something. Wow, what a bad ass."

Looks like those engines are probably not meeting the emissions standards. I guess Newk must have some sort of waiver.

OK, I know this has been covered before but I'm not going to search thousands of pages in here to find the info.

Green slips.

Please correct the parts that are wrong. I got very confused today after calling ATL Field Office about some of this stuff.

GS does not count as credit, its pay only.

Its only paid as GS if you are over GS trigger, which is a number calculated by the company using some formula that pilots do not possess.

The GS trigger can only be found on your time card for the appropriate month.

If there are existing open trips, they are assigned no earlier than 0800 base time the day before departure, this includes WS/GS.

As other trips pop up on the open board after the initial processing in the morning, they are worked as they appear, not necessarily on a periodic time schedule.

PCS has nothing to do with slips, even though slips appear under PCS in iCrew.

You can ask for specific rotations or you can put restrictive parameters but you cannot do both. A request for a specific rotation will override any restrictions you have entered.

A white slip offered with less than 12 hours to report is a proffer. A GS offered with less than 12 hours is your trip, even if its physically impossible for you to get there in time for departure (assume its a noob scheduler with no common sense)

When can you refuse a GS?
