I don't have connections, you'll have to talk to Buzz. I just get to watch them on my 32" HDTV! YEAH BOY! 32"!!!

Just off the press (2nd hand via BB in ATL talking to a new hire class) BB was quoted as saying that they are shutting down the MSP A320 and moving the category to SLC. Has anyone else heard this? I'm getting ready to bid the current AE...but SLC in the A320....Hmmmmmmm?

Baja.

That's a lot of shutting down. 301 Captains and 327 FO's.

Delta has had a lot of practice "shutting down" over the last 10-15 years. :( ANC, PDX, DFW, MCO, CVG on life support, and a lot of others in the 90's. But hey, DCI has opened a lot of new bases.

Well 320 SLC is already open. I can't see them shunting all the MSP 320's out to SLC - I just don't think there's enough flying there to warrant that. Unless they plan to pull the 73's out of SLC and put them in MSP. They'd need something in MSP to cover all the flying the bus is doing there right now.

Remember, while its important to talk about rumors its also important to remember big decisions have long planning times and thats when we hear about it. Just because its planned on doesn't mean it becomes a reality.

Guam evidently was a real possibility, but it didn't happen yet, did it? Didn't mean that it wasn't a real possibility being planned for though and possibly happening some day.

No, no, no, definitely not "equating"...just the use of the Marine Times as an unbiased publication....

(Though now that you mention it......I'd love to see George Soros v. Rupert Murdoch in a celebrity death match!!!)

They have already stated that SLC is the size they want it to be and no growth on the horizon.

Well they have shifted some 320 flying to SLC, but I doubt they'll close the MSP 320 base all together. I don't think SLC would be grown to that size. That's over 600 pilots.

If anything I would expect them to pull some 320 positions from DTW/MSP and put them in NYC and ATL to cut down on the number of DH's.
I would also suspect that the Lion's Share of the 330 time will be moved out of MSP and back filled by ER flying
