kind of surprised to head on over to one of the political websites I like, The Daily Caller - Breaking News, Opinion, Research, and Entertainment, and there's Buzz Pat near the top on the landing page. :D

P.S. My shortest scheduled flight ever was in a 767-300 from Miami to Ft Lauderdale. Scheduled at 6 minutes of flight time. It took us 11. I can't remember if we even raised the gear. :D Talking about an inefficient flight.

.We used to do that (FLL/MIA) with the 1011 as well. Obviously, it was just a repositioning flight.

I used to love that flight..made me $400 every time... I was flying for Flexjet after it first started up and the deal at the time was they had to get you home on your last day by 1 am (technically one hour into your day off) or it was an extra day of overtime pay.

ATL-MIA landed at 12:30....the continuation on to FLL landed at 1:15...$400 for 15 minutes!!

And no, they hardly ever raised the gear on the L1011 if they took off on MIA 27 just to join up on FLL 09.

long time ago.......

Yep. I've been busy.;)

F&F is still set for Tuesday morning but, alas, I'll be doing it from an LA studio as it stands now. Looks like the APC First Annual Convention will have to be in LA, at 4:00 AM local.

I'll pass the word along, but, I can make no promises on how Carl is going to handle this...

Another feather in the cap for this company...

Very classy. Kudos indeed.

IIRC at NW we were told that you could never write in a name on the GEN DEC inbound to the US as it was finalized and xmitted electronically to CIS 60 minutes prior to departure.

I've been told the same thing for years. In fact, it has in the past been a huge gotcha that we have delayed flights to fix.

What is the correct procedure to pass both the US immigration and delta legal review?

Training question.... The conversion date of the previous AE is December 1st. If I received an award to a new, higher paying position on the previous AE and have not gone to training by December 1st, what happens? Do I continue to fly in my previous category at higher pay or do I just sit around and wait for training?

Lottery winner!! You should be converted the last month of the conversion window for the AE bid and then you get a "paid vacation" until you go to training. Woohoo!
