You don't understand man. It didn't happen in front of sailingfun and some of the other usual suspects here. Therefore, it didn't happen.

Bottom line is that the DTW reps are on it, and I believe this situation is now over. No fNWA captains will be allowing this type of behavior now that it's been outed.

There are a few pilots who simply like to fan the flames. They enjoy it, its what they do. We have some in the south and they have some in the north. They will start, repeat and change every rumor to suit their needs.
We have always had periodic ride along programs at Delta. Its a great safety tool and non punitive and not once has ever been punitive. The audits are normally done after major changes. Think we have had some of those? They always state who they are and why they are on the jumpseat.
As far as the ride along program for the 757 NW guys again it was all above board.

As usual, you haven't a clue of what you're talking about. But that never stops you. Our union is on it and I'm pretty confident that everyone agrees that this will never happen again.

Your ability to suck up has not gone unnoticed. I'm sure the next time somebody needs a new Barney Fife guy to monitor hats and shoe shines, they'll think of you first.

I understand AUS and CMH. Two of the biggest schools in the country - DAL is trying to get in on the Spring Break charter action. SAT and TPA I don't quite get. But hey, that's WAYYYY above my paygrade.

No fDAL captains would allow such behavior either, whether it was "outed" or not.

The bottom line is that there is no one molecule of evidence that this really happened other than in the rumorsphere and world of paranoia. If it did, I can assure you that it would not be anything other than some "rogue" individual assuming duties for himself that would be far outside of what any directives Flt Standards may have issued.

It would be like someone from the training department flying a normal trip, then spending the whole trip taking "notes" on his F/O's performance--I'm not saying that would never happen, but it would be completely his own delusional perspective, not some sort of officially sanctioned thing. And it would not be tolerated at all.

First Carl I try and never personally attack anyone. You seem to make a career of it. Second I stand by everything I said. Read the original posters change in statement.

The second statement is quite different from the first. That is how rumors get pushed around.

I don't know why some NW pilots have such extreme paranoia. I don't know why they needed observers to watch each other within the union and in dealings with the company.

I do know what thing for sure. The vast majority of NW pilots are great guys and great pilots. I have flown with quite a few now already. To a man and woman they are very professional and happy to be merged with Delta and did a outstanding job in the cockpit. They want to work for a common goal of improvements for everyone and don't carry any chips on their shoulders. Like the south however there are a few who can only be happy muckracking and finding faults be they perceived or real. Sadly they can taint a entire group easily and influence things well out of proportion to what should occur. The seniority list integration is a classic examply of how that can happen when you let the above type represent you.

Get over the seniority list integration Carl. Its going to drive you into a early grave. Its in the background of everything you post and say about Delta.
