So DAL will now start AUS, CMH, SAT, TPA to CUN. Interesting.

Wow! Sounds like we will have a "hub" in CUN. Soon we'll need a pilot base there.

You don't understand man. It didn't happen in front of sailingfun and some of the other usual suspects here. Therefore, it didn't happen.

Bottom line is that the DTW reps are on it, and I believe this situation is now over. No fNWA captains will be allowing this type of behavior now that it's been outed.

Ya... Us "no backbone" Southies will just sit back and let the REAL pilots fix this "so-called" problem.

I see you put "no backbone" in quotation marks about southies. Please show me one post of mine that has ever said that. In fact, show me one post of mine where I've ever even hinted at such a description.

I'll wait.

Carl

Mine too. :o

NWA and before that, Republic, did TPA-CUN for quite a few years. It was with a 727 with OMEGA nav and usually quite a monkey-football to use it once every couple of years. Airways worked fine anyway. I remember good loads for the day, back when 60 was a good load factor. Glad to see it coming. Now if we can just get MIA-GCM back!

You don't have to come straight out to say it Carl... you said this:

Which is intimating the same thing... I wish I was as much of a badass as you oh great one....

Oh, and thanks for continuing to keep separating the former pilot groups.. that is real productive and helpful to us...

Could be trying to pick up some revenue off the recent shakeups in the Mexico aviation industry. The FAA downgrading Mexico to Class 2 status limits codeshares, combine that with Mexicana's troubles and someone must see opportunity.

Guys,

What's up with our stock? Should have dumped some about a month ago.

Maybe Wall Street finally figured out that Carl flies for us.

Buzz,
Have you looked at the Sector and the broader market?

Housing sales at a 15 year low.

Government shucking jobs faster than the private sector is creating them.

Looming tax increases for the middle class.

All that equates to a opaque picture of how this recovery will look like. It has some investors scared. I see it a possible opportunity to buy. Stock went below 10 a share for a few minutes today.

Many do not see a double dip, but a long drawn out recovery. Given where we are as a company, that may be OK. Those that have, are spending and we are in the black. Growth may not be as rampant as some want, but if we can keep in the black until unemployment levels go below 7.5% we should be OK. When we hit that level we will be able to expand and hold prices firm as demand will be inline with expansion.

Like everyone I am watching for a buy in point.

Every time a class of new hires walks through the door I'll be just that much happier.

I'll throw this out for you stock guys. I'm going long. Just like I'm doing on my Honda Odyssey  and just unlike what Matt Leinart is able to do. :D

The only thing I will say is, I don't think we'll have the shock of October 2008 even if this flailing economy falters. Thats my hope at least. Not to mention, unlike 2008, this isn't a Presidential election with, to put it nicely, a self proclaimed "fundamental change" guaranteed to occur if the economy continued to spiral downwards. There is more known and less unknown and for those who believe in across the board tax cuts, hope. And with a glimmer of hope, even if taxes increase in 2011, maybe people will continue to buy airline tickets unlike 2008. Just pray for no curve balls.
