Oh, and thanks for continuing to keep separating the former pilot groups.. that is real productive and helpful to us...

I used the term "fNWA captains" because this program was for fNWA crews. Why would I mention fDAL crews when the program didn't apply to them?

And you call me paraniod and over sensitive?

I never said paranoid. I called you divisive.. and you are.... which is shocking because you are at the top of the food chain and should have no fear about anything in this merger... except maybe a new 747 base in ATL... other than that, I am at a loss for your continued propensity to separate the two groups in your rhetoric.

Maybe because you're a super-premimum-wide-body captain (that still makes me giggle like a schoolgirl) at the world's largest airline, making more $$ than 99% of the people reading this...but you complain more, and foster more ill-will than most anyone else. Gets old quickly.

What does the category list NBC/SIC mean? I assume it long term sick, but do any of these people ever come back? I have a friend who medically retired over a year ago and he is still on this list. It looks like there are 341 pilots on the list.

ACL,

Couldn't agree more!!! What would really make this economy turn around is if banks would be willing to loan money again to small businesses. Credit has totally dried up even for those with good credit. On the bright side, businesses are sending their people out on the road again and oil prices are dropping.

Curious as to why we did not have ASAP and FOQA before...thx.

Many would argue the core problem all along has been way, way too much credit. Excess credit leads to artificial boom times in the exact same manner as you or I taking a second mortgage out, maxing out all our credit cards and raiding our 401(k)'s to buy new sports cars and eat at 5 star stake houses every night and upgrade to that "Captain's House" on a zero money down subprime.

A problem created by insanely way too much credit can't likely be (permanently) solved by an injection of credit. It would, however, lead to a few back to back upbeat quarters. To many in power, that's as far over the horizon as they care to look.

No Bid Category.....Sick leave. They can come back when they can hold a medical. Some have returned....others end up retiring. Just depends.

I could be wrong, but I believe the programs were terminated after the Comair accident. Lawyers were demanding Comair's FOQA data to use in a class action lawsuit against DAL/Comair.
