I am sure they would prefer the 76 seater.

Ok I will give you one good one. DAL and SKW committed to four 70 seat jets. It means that the scope limit on the 76 seat jets has held. If there was going to be more 76 seat jets allowed they would have waited. They went ahead and committed to a smaller jet for their needs.

You can take that two ways. One we will not grow enough to allow more 76 seat jets, or that the allow 76 seat jet ratio is a hard limit that your MEC has not budged on. I prefer the latter! :D

Oh. I am not usually a glass half empty person, however, I also watched as us (fNWA) sign a deal allowing unlimited 44 seaters and being told that there is no way they can put in an additional 6 seats. It is a different type certificate and would be to expensive to even consider. Then in BK, unlimited 50 seaters and guess what, they put 6 more seats in as fast as they could.

You might also look at it as a replacement of 4 50 seat jets.

Yes, NWA did and DAL allowed 76 seaters but all of that was in the CH 11 era. We are not there now, and no one will willfully give up flying right now.

Please be careful: I fear imposters may be posting here. "ACL 65" is writing complete, legible, coherent sentences. This suggests either the tragic end of ACL's iPhone, or that someone is assuming his identity.

Yes, the Iphone stinks at typing.

Maybe someone has taken over this screen name long ago.

They always make sense to me :p

Was non-reving today from RSW to CVG and there was this Skywest pilot sitting behind me trying to get DEN. Couldn't help but overhear his conversation with his crew scheduling...

him: "hey skeds" .... "just wanted to give you a heads up on my situation. I am commuting to DEN this morning.. blah blah blah and I was wondering if you could give me positive space on the leg from CVG to DEN?"

them: (apparently) "no"

him: "well you can't blame a guy for trying"

I have seen this a lot in the past but had hoped guys were not playing this game anymore. FYI, I guess its still in play.

I became concerned about the possibility of an ACL imposter around the time DPA came up... but for different reasons.

There are regionals that PS people if they are need of pilots to cover the operation.

What is wrong with it? From talking to a couple NWA/DL pilots it happens from time to time there also.
