From airliners.net, don't flame me, its like in Men In Black where they read the tabloids for info, same thing:
The DOT today has commenced slot proceeding to reallocate former 7 Midwest Airlines DCA slots. Initially DOT is soliciting applications for two Vision-100 “within perimeter” slot pairs currently used by Frontier on DCA-MCI services. Selection criteria for the award of slots will be in a manner that promotes air transportation. 1) New entrant carrier and limited incumbent(holds less then 20 slots) air carrier 2) Community without existing nonstop service to DCA 3) Small communities 4) Will provide competitive nonstop service on a monopoly route 5) Will produce competitive benefits including low fares. Additionally there are 5 other ex Midwest slot pairs where the department will conduct a separate proceeding for. Submittals are due September 30th. OST-2000-7182 JetBlue has already indicated to the department that it will solicit for all 7 of these slots. Geee.. I wonder if we have a chance at them? cough cough cough swa cough cough cough jblu cough cough cough |

Bill, do you think I am unaware of all of this. My answer was a non answer. No more no less. It is being looked at fo so. Last time AAI passed on the jets, now that DAL and HI would be the only buyers that may be remotely interested I am sure they will look at it again. Our route structure would support the jet.
I do not think the instructor from AAI every left, but I could be wrong. |
