Looks like those engines are probably not meeting the emissions standards. I guess Newk must have some sort of waiver.

The -9 gets the waiver when we climb out single engine (which that is.)

Normally, we only use both engines when we are taxing out and in so we can keep it cool.

Inflight, on one engine, is where we make up for that and get REAL fuel savings..... :D

Green slips.

Please correct the parts that are wrong. I got very confused today after calling ATL Field Office about some of this stuff.

GS does not count as credit, its pay only.

Its only paid as GS if you are over GS trigger, which is a number calculated by the company using some formula that pilots do not possess.

The GS trigger can only be found on your time card for the appropriate month.

If there are existing open trips, they are assigned no earlier than 0800 base time the day before departure, this includes WS/GS.

As other trips pop up on the open board after the initial processing in the morning, they are worked as they appear, not necessarily on a periodic time schedule.

PCS has nothing to do with slips, even though slips appear under PCS in iCrew.

You can ask for specific rotations or you can put restrictive parameters but you cannot do both. A request for a specific rotation will override any restrictions you have entered.

A white slip offered with less than 12 hours to report is a proffer. A GS offered with less than 12 hours is your trip, even if its physically impossible for you to get there in time for departure (assume its a noob scheduler with no common sense)

When can you refuse a GS?

I don't know a lot about the GS trigger as I'm a reserve guy.

As far as preferences you can pref a rotation & put in parameters. Your first pref would be for a specific rotation, so #1. Then GS #2 would have your specific parameters.

As far as turning a trip down, I put in a GS with zero restrictions. They call, I let them leave a voicemail and check the rotation. If I want, I call back. If you're out of the house just answer. Tell them when you can be there and if it's not good enough they'll move on. ;)

Usually when I see Load Optimization on the -88 is when our planned landing weight is within 1000lb of max - 130k (Reserve/alt fuel bumps that up)

PCS has nothing to do with slips, even though slips appear under PCS in iCrew. PCS stands for Pilot Change Schedule and not really sure what you are asking here.

You can ask for specific rotations or you can put restrictive parameters but you cannot do both. A request for a specific rotation will override any restrictions you have entered. You can put in multiple requests with different parameters.

When can you refuse a GS? Don't answer the phone and look at what the trip does, if you don't like it don't call back however, if you continue to not call back, the schedulers will get irritated and rightfully so.

I answered some of the questions above in red.
