Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Too funny. I was living in SD when he was down there and that guy could not have been more hated.
Hopefully Bledsoe gets a higher rating on the "most famous alum" scale. Outside of yours truly, the Captain of Crunch.

Rumors on when the next AE will be?
Any new guys have class dates yet?
Anyone flown any of the "new" 90's?
Just trying to get this thread back on track.

I didn't know ALPA national was working towards a common goal? I thought they were trying to serve two plus masters at the same time, hence the mass confusion.
What's the deal with the 30 hour layovers anyways? Not complaining, I sleep in, I'm on reserve I never break gaerontee (cajun talk) but man they're all over the place.
So $50 x 80 hours a month (assuming line holder), you're making roughly $50,000 less a year than before? Or at you making $50 less per hour over 80? or 85, whatever the 1.5x trigger was?

FtB,
One thing I would like to see everyone buy into is how much we should fly per month. I believe ALL of our pay expectations should be based on a 70 hour month and you shouldn't have to work more than 70 hours to make whatever pay a particular position should pay. Whether you're stuck on reserve with only 70 hours or senior lineholder who thinks 70 hours/month is plenty of work for a full time pilot we should translate our annual goal based on a 70 hour month. For pilots that desire to work more, more power to them (that's what white slips and green slips are for) but let's not base our pay expectations on anything more than 70 hours/month.

Especially since, if I'm not mistaken, if we all flew 70 hours +/- 5 then wouldn't we need more pilots not only at the bottom but in every category? Not saying we should self limit, just that if that was the system and it wasn't a "if you fly over time you can make a decent salary"-ish system.
Beats RJ flying though: after a few years if you fly 30 hard hours of overtime a month then you could, not will, but could make the typical starting salary of a public school teacher!
Last edited by forgot to bid; 07-05-2010 at 04:10 PM. Reason: Fact check- starting GA teacher salary $31K, FTB 5th year Coex FO pay $27K. 5th year thanks to 600 pilot flow down.
2) Aug 2 and 16th are the first two classes. Most recalls in the first class. Sounds like flows would be in Aug 16th.
3) Nope

I thought the flow was canceled Acl65?
Glad to hear guys getting called and hired.
Hope everyone had a great 4th of July.

"Interesting" trip construction for August, at least for DTW7ER. The good news is we're picking up more Europe flying, but the trips are like nothing I've ever seen. Example...work a three leg domestic day, end up in PHL, 23 hour layover into a CDG over and back, then end it up with another three leg domestic day. 5 days worth about 30. Anyone ever seen anything like that before? Same thing going on with PIT to CDG and MEM to AMS. Not complaining about getting more europe, of course. Are any of the other bases seeing the same kind of stuff? I haven't taken the time to check.
Who was doing PIT/PHL-CDG before and MEM-AMS?
The CPS CEO made comments in their Q and A that the flow would remain in place for 60 days for everyone to discuss it. No more no less. I am sure that we are right in the fact that there is something going on, or about to go on, but officially there has been no comment or statement of intention from any Executive at Delta Air Lines, Inc. (Make sense?)
