I like it. Now on the left and future on the right.

But that connector is a real MISS, a real WIN would've been another Jerry Garcia Memorial Walkway to match the one in DTW:

Will any part of the old exterior of the Pan Am terminal be retained?

I understand one of the key features is a bi-directional taxiway between piers, one on which you can make a U-turn at the bottom of the alley. It looks to me like the Kilos are going further from terminal 4 to accomplish this. So... if you were to have a pier where 3 now stands, and it was shifted SW to accomodate the taxiways, the NW corner of that pier would interfere with 2. I'm sure they could redesign 2 and 3 in such a way as to maximize space available, and not end up with a big parking lot, but I guess the costs would probably double.

I hear that 2 is not getting a face-lift, which leads me to suspect (no rumors: just a guess) there is a follow-on phase to this project that would build something on top of 2 and 3. Maybe even 1. I would also suspect there isn't funding or appetite for any of that, right now.

Seems like it would be awfully smart to allow aircraft to taxi right next to the connector, between LA and the Kilos, through the pointy end of the concrete parking pad.

The way the picture shows it, this setup is still subject to gridlock at LA and MA.

I don't think they're going to be hardstands in the sense of boarding people, but rather just spaces for parking aircraft during the inbound/outbound Europe lull. If you notice, the T4 terminals are being expanded, gobbling up the parking spaces that are currently there.

I'll tell ya, though. That's going to be a heck of a walk between T2 and T4. And knowing JFK, those moving walkways will only be working about 20% of the time.

Well, I'm about to bite the bullet and get a Droid, although I'd rather have an iPhone. But I'm not willing to leave Verizon. The plan is for my wife to keep her current phone (we have a family plan), and when/if the iPhone does come to Verizon (rumored to be in January), she'll still be eligible for an upgrade and I'll swap her iPhone with my Droid phone.

I've looked at the Droid X but that sucker's just too big. I like the size of the Incredible, but it feels flimsy and I've heard the battery life on it sucks. So it looks like the Droid 2 for me.

Nosmo, let me know what you think of it.

Maybe they should run a shuttle from 1pm to 9pm or something from the end of the mainline side of term 4 to 2.

They ain't gettin much worse.

Man that's enuf to make you sick:cool:

You think the way I do. I make sense to wait and see what if anything AMR and Jet Blue do. If there is a marriage we have good reason to go after the Jet Blue terminal since it could be our domestic terminal. We could then throw the rest of the T-4 occupants to two.....:D

With the tear down not happening for a few years, I would suspect that there would be some redesigning as the project moves forward.
