It looks like the trader is betting Delta’s shares are not likely to fall much lower ahead of expiration in January 2011. The investor sold 4,000 puts at the January 2011 $10 strike for premium of $1.17 each, shed another 4,000 puts at the lower January 2011 $9.0 strike for premium of $0.80 apiece, and finally purchased 4,000 calls at the higher January 2011 $12.5 strike at a premium of $0.98 a-pop. The transaction yields a net credit of $1.00 per contract to the investor, which he keeps in full as long as the airline’s shares exceed $10.00 through expiration day. The long stance in call options implies the potential for additional profits to be made should DAL’s shares surge 17.4% over the current price of $10.65 to surpass the $12.50-level ahead of expiration in January. If shares continue to descend, however, the investor could wind up having a total of 800,000 shares put to him in the event both chunks of puts at the January 2011 $10/$9.0 strikes land in-the-money at expiration."

Don't ask him to explain his thinking here. He lifted it verbatim from Seeking Alpha.

do you know why rockwell would used a dingle arm to prevent sinusoidal depolarization?

I think people have a better idea understanding of some of the pilot-to-pilot PAs airline pilots at other airlines make to their passengers than understanding what that article was trying to explain about our stock.

We all deserve a pay raise. I just think that the "Some day you'll be senior," mentality has probably hurt this profession more than anything else.

BTW, you don't have to be very senior to fly the ER, wonder why?

Why not a UPS type of pay scale where a 15 year CA, for example, pays the same whether one flies the DC-9 or 747? I would think plenty of senior guys would love to fly day trips and not effectively take years off their lives by continuous time zone changes and back of the clockers.

Its been discussed but there is a good reason why its not a good idea but I'd have to search through the posts to find it. And we're on page 4566. I think Slow was the one that talked about it.

80: "The line-up consisted simply of six hydrocoptic marzul vanes so fit into the ambaphascient lunar wain shaft that side fumbling was effectively prevented. The main winding was of the normal lotus-odeltoid type placed in panendurmic semi-bulloid slots of the stator. Every seventh conductor being connected by a non-reversible tremmy pipe to the differential girdle spring on the up-end of the grammeters.

Moreover, whenever fluorescent square motion is required, it may also be employed in conjunction with the drawn reciprocation dingle arm, to reduce sinusoidal depleneration."

JABDIP,

Welcome to the L&G Forum. But give the guy a break - this is an internet forum - you will see a lot of stuff you disagree with - roll with it, or at least have one more of those drinks in your avatar.

I'm looking for that "incredible edible internet" video.

In the meantime, JABDIP... consider this picture as scoop, and remember..it's just the internet. What I say is typically stupid, what ftb says is hilarious, what ACL says is pure enlightened truth, and whatever super says includes awesome boobies.

edit: found the video. enjoy, JABDIP: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URsqTsMfNqY
