Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

I know there are some that are concerned about it, but there are way too many that are not. I know it affects you less than it does the junior guys, and I appreciate it when I hear senior guys that are concerned about this issue. I wish we could get all 12,000 of us on the same page with this issue. I sent lots of e-mails and spent my time letting people know how I felt about the lost retirement act, and I get absolutely no benefit from that deal. I just wish those that are benefiting from that deal would spend a little time helping us out with scope. I've never seen one ALPA paper in my file about scope, and I probably get at least 5 per month dealing with other stuff. I appreciate your concern and hope we can fix it. It's a much bigger problem than the 50 seaters were.

I can't seem to find a copy of the settlement agreement between the RJDC and ALPA. The only thing I can find are the press releases by the RJDC and ALPA stating they settled. Nothing on what the settlement entails is on either site. I don't understand why ALPA national would have allowed this LOA into the JCBA knowing they had a settlement that would not allow them to honor it. It will be interesting to see how this is handled by DALPA.

The retirement benefits from the past are GONE. This is no longer an issue that can be fought.
Scope is the fight of our time. If we (as pilots in general, not just DAL pilots, since I am CPZ) cannot come to terms with that then we are doomed to giving more flying away to the regionals.

If we don't hurry, the company will have Compass sold and the whole deal will be done. I've lived through this once at CALEX and hope it turns out better this time.

For all of the talk about merging DCI into DAL, and for all of the ignorant talk about DOH for DCI when merged into DAL, to me the only real option to changing the status quo is to acquire Compass.
What would we have to give to get DAL to see the strengths and opportunities of CPZ as outweighing the weaknesses and threats?

I'm probably going to open a huge can of worms with this question, but can someone give a brief history of why the RJDC got started and what its beef is with Delta or ALPA or both? I've only been at DL for a year so this is all new to me. The few DAL pilots I've asked either didn't know much about the RJDC or called them something colorful.
I'm aware that for some this is an emotional issue, but an unbiased, unopinionated brief on this would be appreciated. As Jack Webb would say, "Just the facts, Ma'am."
Thanks.

A lot of good was done by having the CAL pilots come back who had zero tolerance for the way the training department ran up until then as well as some other stuff. But it was miserable for everyone involved.
All that to say, I think there ought to be a trigger that says if all CPZ pilots are furloughed by DAL furloughed pilots then every last CPZ pilot is given a seniority number at DAL and brought in with their seniority on some sort of ratio when hiring resumes. If it takes 4 years to get to DAL and 800 guys are hired and start training before you then when you get there you've got 4 years of seniority and you're senior to all of em'.

That's their website. It should give you a good idea of what they are all about.
