Man, that stinks. :(

Reminds me of a DC9 CA I was flying with before I came back to the 320. He wanted to go to NYC 7ER so he put in a VD because there was a surplus of DC9 A's in DTW. Too bad he put NYC M88 on his card because that's what he got. I thought DOH!!!

Well if you put a Y" in L/H it will look at the 85% as the cut off based on the 22D.3 report for the total number of pilots at the end of the conversion. I ALWAYS bid a specific number or percentage.

I do not think that not having a clear stated goal 15 months before the earliest we can submit an opener is an issue. I would be quite concerned at the amendable date. With AMR, UAUA/CAL both at the table it would be quite foolish and limiting to state anything today. It would just be rhetoric that would suffer issue fatigue well in before we needed our group to peak.

Exactly, The contract is not even amendable for 2 years and 3 months. Normally openers are exchanged 6 to 9 months before the amendable date. A lot can change between now and then. The contract survey to all pilots that will be used to build the opener will not even be mailed out for over a year.

Not working a rumor, just stating that I would not see a drop in any routes or growth plans because of it. They are good feed for us on the Left Coast. We probably want to keep it that way.

How about we be our own feed. The AS code share has killed the 73 category out here. Before that agreement, we were doing most of the west coast stuff that AS has taken over. On fact, I flew into SNA a few weeks ago and we had to sit on the ramp for almost an hour because an inbound AS flight got the gate priority over us. That shouldn't happen.

acl65pilot 09-24-2010 05:47 PM

DAL is the one that contracts with AS and does their gates service. In fact AS as min staffing requirements for their flights for these contracts. In the end DAL knows all about it.

As for our feed, to save you from one of my ten paragraph RASM-CASM models I will just state that it is an option, but it would be done as an offensive maneuver if needed. I would also like to see DAL do all of the flying out there, but they will not do it with the revenue potential that exists in the North South Markets.

Now in regard to the flying that they replaced us on, yeah that is not quite right. Darn open ended code share agreement! :D
AMR should try and buy them, that would start the dominoes falling.

BTW Buzz that is normal in SNA even for the 757's.

Been flying all day and didn't even see the Dow Jones closed up 197 points! WOW! Good week on the market. :)

In other news look at gold and silver prices. Housing still sucks but it is sucking less.

Johnso, I hear ya. My house has gone up 20K in two months. It has a long way to go, but it is starting to give me some more options, and that is a good thing. May get the opportunity to move if I so choose, and as we know, options are good.

I cannot wait to see what our stock does on Q3 numbers. 1yr range is over 17 in some circles. Still hoping for 18 by dec. :D
