With AA & UA/CO receiving ATI with their Japanese partners you now know the reason we got 2 HND slots!

George;
I too hope that we see the 748i here, and I do beleive that this is very possible. Heck I even have an artist rendition of it in DAL colors I got from a Boeing buddy, but that does not mean that Skyteam may put the 748i at a carrier like AF and keep us doing point to point on smaller jets. Heck, I have a set of 787 cockpit graphics that I got from a buddy in the training dept. They've not been any help getting the a/c on the property.:rolleyes: |

Heyas,
I hope something is in the works... The new UAL/CAL WB fleet: B747-400: 24 B777-200: 74 B767(all) : 61 Not to mention 170+ 757s & 737-900s THAT is a bunch of heavy lift. Maybe we can steal Avis' old tagline "we're #2, we try harder"... Nu |

Nu And you just raised their debt and if you don't sell them now DAL might run off and secure other aircraft and not have room for a fleet you're no longer interested in. |

Nu That being said, I don't think that having more aircraft and routes is gonna do alot of good. If we want to beat the new UAL and SWA, we need the best frontline employees of any airline. Spending 2 Billion on interiors, intertainment, and seats is a good move, now we just need to figure out how to get the public to think that DAL FA's and agents are nicer than those at SWA. Not sure how we're are gonna pull that one off. |

I remember Jim Whitehurst saying before he left Delta that if anyone at United ever actually ran that airline, that Delta would have a tough time competing with all the widebodies and route autorities they have. Add CAL into the mix with EWR Atlantic traffic, IAH SA traffic, and their 777's and 767's and I think we will have a very fierce competitor.
