Hot new rumor going off @ Hawaiian that we're gonna buy them. Anyone else hearing anything? I'd think we'd get ALASKA 1ST.

Baja. Yeah, we'll probably get Alaska first. We'll go ugly early. That chick on the tail of Hawaiian is too hot for us. Maybe we can get her liquored up so that we look better. |

Interesting tidbit I just heard about.....
I have a friend that was displaced from the 744 to the 7ER on the Jan AE. She was converted in early summer and is now flying as a 7ER B. On the latest AE she was reinstated to the 744. Now this is where it gets interesting..... She was contacted by her CP and asked/advised to remain on the ER since Delta had invested "all the money and time" getting her qualified! That seems pretty low to have a CP lean on someone because they were displaced, qualified on a different aircraft but now wish to return to displaced position. Anyone heard of this happening before? So when DAL furloughed me and over 1100 other guys and gals (while ASA and COMAIR were hiring as quick as they could) I guess all we had to do was say "Gee I wouldn't mind being furloughed but I invested a lot of time and money in my career - so I would prefer to remain employed." What a joke - I hope she laughed her ass off! Oh wait, thats right - we are supposed to forget that DAL screwed us and be one happy family now. Scoop |

I sure remember a mother-in-law that I would have furloughed in a heartbeat! Carl |

It is the Hotel Update 20100809.
Item 1: Bed bugs – If you believe you may have encountered bed bugs during a layover please inform the hotel management immediately so that remedial action can be taken, call your Chief Pilot with the information, file an FCR and send a copy to the Hotel Committee, and seek medical attention promptly to ensure a professional diagnosis of the situation. I hope this helps. Good luck. PLEASE. From experience twice last year (Hilton Airport PBI and SLC Marriott-Residence Inn) do the above and ... CALL the county health department and report it. If it is not reported to them, it never happened and the evidence to an infestation will be covered up. At that point, good luck in getting reimbursement for any damages i.e. luggage, home exterminating, doctors bills, lost pay, etc. |

$4K to exterminate them from your dwelling. Less if you are living in a van down by the river, or, in an LAXAPA lot :D. Get the proof just in case. Call the County Health Department. This is one of the things I learned from working for ALPA doing hotel stuff. |

Are you going to Manaus and taking a dip in the Amazon? If so, you also need to worry about the penis fish too.
