That is where my idea came from, It was during Reforger during the early 80s. My thoughts "Wow, we need something like this in the states".

It'd be cheaper to open them in NJ and pay the mob their "protection fee" then to open one in or near an airport like ATL and pay the city of Atlanta it's under the table fees. 
I think it was one of the company's that dealt with the construction of runway 28/10 that said they built airports all over the world and in 3rd world countries and never had seen anything like the city of Atlanta.

Probably true...but you have to give Atlanta some credit. When we (ATL airport, city, etc) decided we needed another long runway, we condemned the land, built the runway RIGHT OVER I-285 and finished early, under budget (which was probably corruptly inflated to begin with.
If this was anywhere in the NE or S. California, the NIMBY's would still be suing each other for another decade at least!

The only thing that bothers me is that they are sending the AWABS out and then a few minutes later sending another one. Difference is that we are on the clock. I like the fact that we can push as soon as the door is closed though.

We probably crossed paths. I flew lots of Reforgers in the day (and spent untold nights stumbling around Frankfurt). How about these for names (staying with the flying theme, of course)?
