I hate going thought the routine as much as the next guy, the difference is that I can understand that there are reasons to do what they do, and we as pilot do not have a "need to know" in regard to these reasons.

Sorry ACL, but there are no valid reasons. Clamp nailed it, we have the yoke, end of story.

You folks all talk about this like its some sort of negotiation. A negotiation always has to have a point where one of the parties can walk away. That is not the case here.

What we have here is a collaboration. Our side of the collaboration has not been clear.

i guess i still dont understand why a pilot would need to bring anything with them through security (assuming bad intentions), much less in there underwear.
