Well said 1515Greenlight....Too bad there aren't more pilots like you involved at the mainline level...A mutual solution could be arrived at with level headed folks like you...Unfortunatly, most of those involved are like the other posters here....

Cheers!

Thanks for the nice words. 25+ years at the LEC/MEC level and seen just about all of it. What you're reading here attacking RJ drivers and comments comparing them to Iraqi Police is the mark of people who have no clue what a union really is. Those comments are the same kind of cancer that has killed other unions. Ego, arrogance and believing your level of entitlement is determined by your uniform is what's killing ALPA now.

All the pretty precision picketing in the world doesn't mean squat. At least now the NWA guys, who got sold down the river by Prater in the deal, are there and can show them what it really means to shut an airline down.

I'll take an RJ driver in my right seat any day.

You forgot to mention PFT Guys, Gulfstream Academy, ERAU Flying Wonders, Frosted Tips, The Backpack Flight Case, Oakleys, Ipods, and that skanky FA who gave me the clap on that Mobile, AL overnight.

Also highly responsible for screwing up this industry.

...actually, it all started going south with Leonardo di Caprio and "Catch Me if you Can." It was a great industry until then!:p

It is intemperate comments like this that make you lose credibility. As an NWA pilot, I can tell you that I do not think Prater "sold us down the river." Nobody else I know at NWA thinks that either. Prater had little to do with the process. Both NWALPA and DALPA decided to move our seniority integration outside of the ALPA process. The arbitrator made a decision. The vast majority of us are dealing with it, and moving on.

As far as NWA pilots showing DAL pilots how to shut down and airline, I don't think that will be necessary with the current DAL management. Most people have no idea how absolutely venal the NWA management teams were that resulted in the pilot groups having to strike so often. Anderson and his team aren't even close to that level of anti-employee "managers."

I agree Anderson so far hasn't show his teeth like Steenland did during BK. Our major first test will come in 3 years... I hope we'll hold the line this time (or at least don't get trampled)

Got called with an IA to GRU this morning. They called past the original report time with the offer which I thought was interesting, but I'm not available. Too bad, it would have been a nice addition to the paycheck. Seems the weather in NY is really messing with the schedule. It's days like this that make me glad I'm not a scheduler.

Yeah, after that 6:50am IA call for a 7am departure, I figured they were going to wake up the entire FO list. I can only imagine the zoo that was JFK last night.

Ditto for me too, but I'm home in NC. Besides, they canceled all the morning flights here, anyway.

I'm a big NQ. :D

I saw some greenslipping this morning for NYC ER but I think ATL MD88 takes the cake with 50 trips on the trip coverage page for 3/1.

Anybody like how crew scheduling wasn't available to be contacted from around midnight last night all the way past 0630 this morning?

So... had to relay a sick call through crew tracking. Fantastic.
