You misunderstand. I hate Christmas. I wish I was working.

So why didn't you bid to work a trip over Christmas so someone who cares could be home? Or how about put in a GS so someone else doesn't get re-routed. If you really wish you were working, I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to talk them into giving you something to do.

Watching the WX channel, "10 inches coming to New York today."
"That's what she said." :)

I finally saw the ever elusive "C" code in open time today for 320B in SLC. Guy snagged a two day trip that reports at 1600 today that conflicted with a 31 hour 5 day that starts tomorrow at 7AM. Gets paid 42 hours for doing a two day trip and the next 7 days off.

Merry Christmas all, may you enjoy the sight of these Christmas lights on your leg home.

They're canx due to wx cuz they have no recovery obligations to the pax with hotels and meals..now if they canx for the real reason...no crews ...they'd have to accomodate the pax.

For those working today, I'll see you on the radios. Merry Christmas.

I remember flying 727 into MEM from MSY on morning...very light jet...and pranged it on....hard.... I stood at the door. My F/O turned to my S/O and said; "That is the bravest man I heve ever known":D

There is something to that. For a short period, Delta was canceling flights with low load factors simply due to fuel costs. Any flight with low load factors is subject to cancellation for any reason.
