Maybe he is making up for the "Tanskley Lawsuit" failure ... It's almost impossible to live on a frozen pension benefit of 10000/month :)

It's in their "redbook" (No not that REDBOOK!!!!!) that they are to check on us in flight (don't know the exact verbiage) As a Southie, I would say premerger they checked on us 90% of my flights. No flamebait but post merger, North F/A's rarely check on us in flight(but if we call them, they are accomodating to our requests)

Wow... How did he make that happen? I'm guessing he won't be retiring early.

Actually it used to be in their redbook. The exact verbage was "Once an hour once at cruise" I can't find it anymore. Most of our FA's haven't read their own redbook so it wouldn't matter anyway.
A few years ago, we were flying MSP_RJAA on a 747 and had not heard from the FA's untill we called them for some coffee,.....six and a half hours into the flight :) Things are better now on the 88 :) |

If I have to pee, I call them. If I get thirsty, I call them. If I get hungry, I call them. So long as they are professional and courteous in their response to those calls, I honestly don't care if they ever check on us. We're not teenagers; we don't need someone checking on us every hour to make sure we're alive? awake? not lost? Just my opinion. |
Just need a little help. I have been out "sick" since mid OCT following foot surgery. It looks like it will be Mar before I will get back. I will run out of sick leave after Jan. I know I can get DPMA benefits but what is my next step and who should I contact. I have looked at the PWA but I am not an attorney nor did I sleep at a Holiday Inn so I am kind of lost. Thanks in advance for any info. CPSC?

Call the ALPA benefits specialist and then call DPMA directly. Make sure you do it at least a couple of weeks in advance so you don't miss pay.

Someone makes 255 hrs for Dec. The way I see it, that is two pilot positions that other pilots could have upgraded to. We shoot ourselves in the foot by chasing the almighty dollar. I for one don't think it's great. I think Dal should staff the airline with the required staff. More upgrades and a better run airline.
