I've never found good buddy passes. They've always been worthless IMO.

Are these the "Strand a Buddy" passes? I tell folks that I'll only do them for international flights where there is at least a shot at a BE seat. Domestically, you are better off to buy the seat and have a guaranteed ride as opposed to flying after everyone and their relatives (to include the dog).

I went out and bought the Snow Leopard OS to do the CD and it hangs up on the Introduction to Course Navigation Page. I have seen the SD video now 5 times trying to get past the intro page.

I've not heard of Crossover or what it does. I'm running Leopard (10.5.8) and have no problems running the CQ.

The course is built on Flash. Make sure you're running the latest version of Flash. It's a free download from Adobe and it will update whatever version your running or install it if you don't have it. I'm willing to bet that will fix your problem.

All kidding aside I found buddy pass worked well and all of them were on short notice, short range (as in we're the only ones who serve that route and prices are high) and the passengers were flexible.

The best I ever had was a friend who needed to pick up a truck in SDF and drive back. The one way ticket may at that time been around $600 or so. $49 for the buddy pass. Everything else has been miserable for me and I think I talk people out of using buddy passes.

So, the A320 that landed in the Hudson, USAir 1549, is headed to a CLT museum.

I do think the DC-9-40 ought to be headed to join the 762 Spirit of Delta as "once flown by Newk." Just thinking.

Speaking of the 9, let's talk about the 9. Guys flying it want to share some insight and thoughts about the bird in case there is an ATL base? A friend and I were talking about it today and it'd be nice to hear some thoughts of the transition back to non-FMS, trip QOL and other pertinent line pilot stuff. Thinking about it, maybe on this AE maybe on the next.

Because we are revenue generators.

Are you referring to our 'friend to enemy passes?'

Niiiiice. We really should put that on the lav trucks. "Ramp, just got cut off by the... turd burglar."

Ramp: "And I care why?"

More like "did you see that ramp, I just got caught off." "Say again?" "Ramp, I just got cut off." "Who is I?" "What do you mean who is I? Are you telling me you're not watching me with binoculars as I taxi out?" "And you are...?" "I don't understand, I thought your only job was to watch out for me!"

It would be funny, if it wasn't so sad to say that sort of happened.

There is a dump truck company up here where I live called Mother Trucker.

Hi Johnso29,
I do appreciate you as a moderator....that's a great word. When it comes to discussing politics, a moderator is what is desperately needed. The discussion inevitably denigrates to name-calling, and mud slinging. There's some quote that I can't seem to finish, but it's something like "....character assassination is the last bastion of the ill informed..." You always know when ANOTHER guy KNOWS he's lost the debate on the merits of his argument--as he will resort to name-calling. None of us want this board to turn in to 'that kind of place'. So, what I'm trying to say, is, "Thanks". For all you do, this Bud's for you--(sorry, couldn't resist).
Chuck
