Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Thanks for the answer, but it doesn't work. When I look at Leisure Travel the drop down it only gives me Flight Availability & Listings, Employee Award Travel or Interline Travel. I haven't paid up my annual fee yet, could that keep the tab from appearing?
Thanks for the tip, I wouldn't be surprised if it costs less just buying one.

It isn't set in stone, and that's the problem.
Right now our MEC mission statement doesn't include any language directing it to recapture or extend the amount of Delta flying that is performed by Delta pilots.
I for one would sleep better if our association's mission statement included scope language. Maybe it's time to add that.
Cheers

Most of the guys with less than ten years left will be looking out for number one....that is to say their own pay and retirement dollars. This will likely mimic the age 65 process (majority voted against it but the top dogs in ALPA pushed for it and justified it after the fact). They operate on the principal it is better to try to get forgiveness after the fact than it is to gain permission.
To those of you here who have inside ties to ALPA leadership...
If you disagree with the above statements, you can do one thing to put this argument to rest... Get DALPA leadership (and ALPA national for that matter) to put out a statement clearly laying out their stance on scope. Something like this:
1. NOT ONE MORE SEAT OR FLYING JOB WILL BE PASSED FROM MAINLINE TO REGIONAL OR ANY OTHER AFFILIATE INCLUDING CODE SHARES.
2. PARALLEL TO OUR MISSION TO RESTORE PAY WE WILL BRING THE FLYING FROM REGIONALS AND CODESHARES BACK TO INDIVIDUAL MAINLINE AIRLINES.

Actually our Section 1 is pretty specific about DCI flying when it comes to hub-to-hub. DCI is limited to 6% of all hub-to-hub flying and is specifically required to provide hub feed.
For comparison the Alaska flying is "providing feed" and is limited to flying no more than 25% of all hub-to-hub flights. Outside of hat AS can pretty much fly anywhere in the world with the 86-seat limitation on carrying the DL code.
Cheers

Just as a friendly reminder neither Southwest or the old AirTran have regional jets whether it is a 50 seater, 70 or 76... so my thought, SDF-ATL and LEX-ATL becomes SDF-LEX-ATL in an MD88... kill the RJ industry without having to negotiate a thing.
no idea what the math comes out to be

ALPA has a mission to restore pay? While I hope that is true, I can't find much evidence of it anywhere. And it's conspicuously missing from ALPA's mission statement.
