Many of the pilots took MARTA and got to the airport.

I talked to them a little bit. To say they are slammed, is well, an understatement.

I did a little more playing with Firefox. If you hit Command-Shift-F (all three together) it resizes the screen. The green button is gone in the full page view. Safari doesn't have this issue; unfortunately, iCrew doesn't work in Safari very well.

EVO 4G. Droid is so last month.

Really, what ever you get needs to be 4G capable. Using it to tether your laptop sure beats the hotel network, pirating a signal, or paying an extra fee (hotel 528kb, 4G 12 to 15 mbps here). If it was not for my wife's Facebook addiction, I would drop the home cable modem and simply use the phone as the home's wireless router. Seriously, you can run up to eight other computers off of it. Sprint was running demos where they had complete service centers running through a phone ... that's nuts.

I am surprised at least once a week by some cool new functionality Google has thought up.

For example when out on a run (and nearly lost) I fired up Google Maps. In the past you knew where you were, but had to move to see which direction you were going so you ended up jogging while looking at the screen and running into stuff like an idiot. Now google maps uses the EVO's compass and gyro to orient itself. Google street view literally looks like the street you are on, headed the direction the phone's camera is pointed. Tilt it flat and you get a satellite view ... brilliance.

Many people with Apple phones really like them, but after owning both (and being initially amazed by Apple's quality and software) the Andriod / Google combination is rolling over their product line like a tsunami. Kind of like the way the Blackberry rolled over Palm. Maybe the iPhone 5G will actually be 4G capable.

I've been with AT&T and the Iphone for a few years now and the service has really begun to tank over the past year. I've been getting at least one or two dropped calls a day and the overall 3G network definitely seems like it has begun to slow down and become less reliable.

I wouldn't mind as much if AT&T and Apple didn't seem to overcharge for services that should be free. I think it's ridiculous that they try and charge you a fee to tether your devices, as well as removing their unlimited data plans. Apple isn't much better, the phone works great, but the interface doesn't exactly work well icrew.

I've actually steered clear of Verizon because of their horrible customer service, but if their service is cheaper than AT&T I'm definitely considering a move when my contract is up.

Sprint's service is VERY good. No dropped calls and in the very rare event that I have to call them, their Reps roll out the red carpet. I believe our DAL affiliation gets us a discount and put in their premier customer level for service and goodies.

Many years ago Sprint was horrible. They have really shaped up.

FWIW, I've been with Verizon for at least six years. I've never had an issue of any kind with their customer service and I've been really happy with the performance of their network. (excellent coverage, not many dropped calls, etc.)

Don't know if it's cheaper, though... it seems like I'm paying an awful lot for the whole family, even with the Delta discount. Maybe it's just that shrunken paycheck that's the problem!

I switched from Sprint to Verizon back then because they were so bad (the dropped calls were AWFUL). Glad to hear they've cleaned up their act.
