Is there a way to go to the first new post in a thread? I couldn't find one

No, unfortunately you have to scroll to the last page, but only one time. Once you've done it, it should go to the last page every time after that.

Yes I have to admit, the iCrew App for Android completely rocks the casbah.

I don't think DAL is "blaming the snow." Did you read Jim Graham's letter that came out prior to the last IROP? He certainly understands that we have serious problems and is seeking to fix them. Did you respond to your CPO's request for specific details and incidents? I did. That's the only way this is going to get fixed. Document your experiences and fire them up the chain. *****ing and moaning on APC ain't gonna get it done.

A Kansas farm wife called the local phone company to report her
telephone failed to ring when her friends called - and that on the few occasions, when it did ring, her dog always moaned right before the phone rang.
The telephone repairman proceeded to the scene, curious to see this
psychic dog or senile lady. He climbed a telephone pole, hooked in his test
set, and dialed the subscriber's house.
The phone didn't ring right away, but then the dog moaned and the telephone began to ring.
Climbing down from the pole, the telephone repairman found:

1 . The dog was tied to the telephone system's ground wire with a steel
chain and collar.
2. The wire connection to the ground rod was loose.
3. The dog was receiving 90 volts of signaling current when the number
was called.
4. After a couple of jolts, the dog would start moaning and then
urinate.
5. The wet ground would complete the circuit, thus causing the phone to
ring.

Which demonstrates that some problems CAN be fixed by ****ing and moaning. Thought you'd like to know.

(sorry I had to post that one:)

I'm not a windows guy. I have an iMac and there is a fairly sizable number pf pilots who are also Apple users. I'm also fairly inept with computers; one (of many) reasons why I have an iMac...

Why can't the company provide a disc that runs on both?

Yes, I know I can spend my money to purchase "windows for mac" or something, but I shouldn't have to.

Yeah, I'm not an Apple fan. But why should the company spend money to produce software that is compatible with your MAC? MACs are exclusive. They only represent about 9% of the total computer market share and they are only compatible with ... MACs.

Should the company also be required to make their software compatible with other OSs? If not, why?

I would imagine its closers to 35% of the pilots based on some other companies demographics.

While playing with the app yesterday, I noticed that it wasn't giving the layover info for an international station. After an email, and a few hours, they had a newer version of icrewmax that fixed the problem, all done on a Sunday afternoon. I was impressed to say the least. I'd like to see DT work on that time frame.

Rumor alert:

From one of the instructors in MSP: A bunch of A320 time is coming to ATL in mid 2011. Most likely 320 categories in ATL on the next AE.

Still doesn't matter. If you want to use a MAC for your personal use, great. Use them. But since the company uses PCs, I don't think they should be required to write software for both. They have enough IT SNAFUs, we don't need to create more for them.
