After an email, and a few hours, they had a newer version of icrewmax that fixed the problem, all done on a Sunday afternoon. I was impressed to say the least. I'd like to see DT work on that time frame.

Who owns iCrew Max?

Rumor alert:

From one of the instructors in MSP: A bunch of A320 time is coming to ATL in mid 2011. Most likely 320 categories in ATL on the next AE.
Did he say which base the time will be pulled from?

Was one of the job requirements on the application, "Must own or buy a PC"? The company wants the distance learning concept. A sizeable percentage of the workforce uses exclusively Mac. It's unreasonable to expect us all to go out and buy a PC that sits around doing nothing all year until CQ time. The cost to make the systems CDs Mac compatible is really pretty minimal. I also think that the percentage of Mac users in the pilot group is much higher than 9%, but even if it isn't, it's totally unacceptable for the company to produce a training product that 9% of its target workforce cannot use without buying equipment to support it.

I am constantly amazed at how often you post on here about what you don't think the company should have to pay for. Whats next? Motel 6s instead of downtown layovers? Sack lunches instead of per diem?

Enough.

Delta is a Premier Sponsor of the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Typically sponsorship comes with perks. Are there any for employees?

Another question, is Detroit the only City without transport to the airport? In their bizzre world there are no shuttles, no train, and no direct bus service. The rental companies and cabs obviously realize this since the 15 mile ride into the City averages $100 round trip.

I just think it is funny and ironic that the MAC users are whining about this. And I am poking you in the eyes for fun.

If you guys really want to push this issue, tell the company you are unable to complete the training due to no viable computer.

I dont know for a fact, but I've been told that one or more of the rental car companies at the airport will rent you a car for the day at 10-15 bucks. Someone who knows will undoubtedly chime in.

FWIW, I downloaded iCrewMax this afternoon and tried it out. I like some of the features, but it seemed to slow down iCrew so I have already uninstalled it. I guess it could have been a coincidence but I did run a speed test on my internet connection when I noticed the slow down and it showed the same ~10MBPS download and 1.05 upload speeds it usually does. After I uninstalled iCrewMax, I noticed that iCrew was definitely back to normal speed. Anyone else notice this problem with it? (BTW, I'm running the latest version of Mac OS X and Firefox 3.6.13 on a one year old MacBook Pro with no other slow down problems noted.)

I use a PC and have not seen any slowdown.

That"s because you have a Mac 88. Just kidding.....I have one too. I needed to down load CrossOver to do the CQ CD. It worked great and is free for 30 days. Hope this helps the Mac Bros...

No problems with my PC.
