That is traditional Delta, and something that may strike our North types as odd... it traditionally was a very much gentleman's operation where everyone kind of looked out for everyone. It was rare to hear someone say "that's not my job," or something of the sort... kind of like the north FA's aren't allowed to touch the door. Stuff like that just made me scratch my head.

Considering how much more we do above and beyond the PWA frequently makes even more of a case for better compensation and treatment in the coming negotiations.

That's exactly my point, I'll do whatever it takes to get the operation running well, but recognize that we're not strictly labor and compensate the pilot group accordingly.

I use a PC and have not seen any slowdown.

That's because it's already slow to begin with! :p:D

I just think it is funny and ironic that the MAC users are whining about this. And I am poking you in the eyes for fun.

If you guys really want to push this issue, tell the company you are unable to complete the training due to no viable computer.

The CQ CD runs just fine on a Mac, so it obviously is not that tough to do. Just click on Mac_Start in the folder.

I wasn't here, but my guess is the technology hue and cry didn't start until after the merger. Us fNWA guys were really taken aback at the step back in time. And guess what? NWA was a Mac-based airline for many years. It is a simpler and much more elegant way to get things done. I hope Delta figures that out.

Yeah, I'm getting ready to tackle that CQ CD in the next few days. Should be interesting to see if it will work on my MacBook Pro. The good news (well, not really) is that I'm out sick for at least the rest of the month and have plenty of time to do it on my old PC at home if it won't work on the Mac.

Is there a way to go to the first new post in a thread? I couldn't find one
I have been looking and cannot find one.

They are working on a MAC compatible program but with the MAC machines having the ability to run parallel it really does not need to be done. I have done a CQ cd on a apple and IBM device. Yes, the same cd with a flash drive to store where I was.

320 time coming to ATL has been discussed openly. I guess we will find out IF on the April/May AE

From one of the instructors in MSP: A bunch of A320 time is coming to ATL in mid 2011. Most likely 320 categories in ATL on the next AE.

Begs the question, this AE or next AE after this next AE?

Kind of like 'next Sunday', is that this Sunday or the one after this coming Sunday?

The telephone repairman proceeded to the scene, curious to see this
psychic dog or senile lady. He climbed a telephone pole, hooked in his test
set, and dialed the subscriber's house.
The phone didn't ring right away, but then the dog moaned and the telephone began to ring.
Climbing down from the pole, the telephone repairman found:

1 . The dog was tied to the telephone system's ground wire with a steel
chain and collar.
2. The wire connection to the ground rod was loose.
3. The dog was receiving 90 volts of signaling current when the number
was called.
4. After a couple of jolts, the dog would start moaning and then
urinate.
5. The wet ground would complete the circuit, thus causing the phone to
ring.

Which demonstrates that some problems CAN be fixed by ****ing and moaning. Thought you'd like to know.

(sorry I had to post that one:)

Probably this jerk's dog...

... if he had tried that with Dug the Dog he'd gotten his... bitten.

88 if you are having issues with iCrew Max, look at your addons. Running a current and olderJava net console will slow it down and cause other issues.

Thanks, ACL. I took a look at my addons and here are the two items I found with regard to Java:

Java Embedding Plug-in 0.9.7.2 MRJ Plug-in version 1.0-JEP-0.9.7.2

Java Plug-In 2 for NPAPI Browsers 13.3.0

I have no idea what any of that means...

Posted a poll on PC or Mac to get a rough idea of what % of Mac users there are. Not that it'll change anything, but damn it is annoying to have to use a PC for Delta's training requirements.
