Standard Pilot indoctrination stuff. Whoops, did I say Pilot indoctrination? I meant to say political re-education, just as DAL new hires have to resist being brainwashed into becoming Kool-aid drinkers (the instant, life-long, 100% effective, and totally irreversible cure being a furlough while DCI hires tons) but I digress.

SWA new-hire Pilots must surely also run this gauntlet of attempted neural re-wiring. If your buddy takes this stuff too seriously he apparently would be a good subject for the Jedi mind tricks - you know "These are not the droids you are looking for" etc.

Scoop :)

Why when I log into icrew sometimes the pop up screen says logging out? Can get into the flight ops page with no problem. It is hit or miss. Sometimes it allows me to log right in to icrew and other times not.

Is it on an Apple?

Heyas,

RE: The recent lack of scope message.

You will NEVER see a message about scope come out of the MEC Officers. Never.

It's a betting game. "They" risk alienating what is soon to become the majority of ALPA members, versus another group saber rattling about bringing in a new union.

I'm thinking that they're betting right.

Satch

Interesting. Where I have ever said I was a DPA supporter?

This is more like watching Wal-Mart lose customers to the local Hardware Store. You WANT to support your local business, and the guy that runs it is a really nice guy that means well, but they are only open from 10-5:30 and 10-1 on Saturday (closed Sunday). When you do go in, it takes them an hour to find what you need.

True be told, IMHO, the DPA went about things the wrong way, but hey, that's their call. Never challenge a man to his own game in his own house.

Utter BS.

Delta pilots on this webboard asked for some form of proof/documentation so we could enforce our contract. ALPA went to management. They did investigate, and scope was enforced.

If I recall the story correctly, LM himself dressed down the whistleblower. And until actual documentation of the infraction was brought to DALPA PHYSICALLY was there any "investigation" or enforcement.

Really!

Any of ya'll been reading the Airtran SLI thread? It is incredibly entertaining. It is now my new morning chuckle...

I agree. We should have a fierce approach to reducing the number of 76 seaters.

Remember....or we are doomed to loose these......http://cdn-www.airliners.net/aviatio.../2/0057205.jpg

for these...

It is reminiscent of the ALPA webboard discussions during the NW DAL merger. I for one am glad that is behind us.

Don't take this the wrong way but......pay wise he doesn't need to. Their third and forth year fo's are making our narrow body captain pay already.:(
