Again, I don't know all the ramifications of a set ALV, but doesn't having a lower ALV result in more trips falling into open time? My schedule shows "Max Reserve" as 82 hours (same as ALV, so I'm guessing that's how Max Reserve is determined). If my Max Reserve were 77 instead and a regular line holder were given an ALV of 77, wouldn't that likely result in more trips being available for premium pay via green slips for pilots in the category?

That way the company would pay their pilots for the relief from the contract as well as get the flying they need out of them. Or does TLV over ride everything? If so, get an LOA for relief from TLV. Give and take, right? Well, even if it is all give for us at this point, my complaint right now is that we're giving even after having agreed to give for what's in the LOA. If they're going to continue to to assign an ALV that's outside what the PWA allows then what's the point of LOA 20?

The TLV is a rolling 12 month average. It is not necessary to slash the ALV from one month to the next for DAL to be in compliance with the TLV. The MD88B ALVs will go down and it will be easier for those categories to handle the lower ALVs when the manning is increased from all of the new M88B pilots being trained after the last AE.

I would think higher ALVs in the summer would be favorable. This way there can be much lower ALVs in the fall/winter spreading the flying over a heavy pilot group preventing the need to trim the fat.;)

If the link doesn't work: its a pic of the DAL ER with winglets

They seem to repaint them right before parking them in VCV. I have not figured that out yet....

Thanks for the pic, looks neat.

Think of it as winterizing ;)

In reality the paint shop has a different schedule than maintenance has. Left and Right hand.

Anyone know where I can find a list of the airlines we can buy discounted non-rev tickets on? Like ID90's and such

DeltaNet has a list of airlines we can use Zed Fares (think cheaper ID90s that not all airlines are set up for yet) and ID90s.

Go to TravelNet, then click "Help" at the top right, then on the page that opens (Pass Travel) look on the right hand side under "Interline Travel" then click on "Other Airline and Codeshare Index" for a complete list.

And Ax lives in ATL. He was commuting up yesterday AM. A good guy. Just wear the stupid hat. This all sounds like a bunch of kids that want to bend the rules with a school uniform.
