I don't remember all of the justifications and I don't have a copy of the resolution but it was a lot of Compass started small so they piggybacked on the NWA MEC and now they are big enough to stand alone. They are a regional and have conflicting interests with mainline so shouldn't be represented by the same body.

The resolution will be distributed with the meeting minutes and then we can all read exactly what was passed and will be in front of the MEC next month.

No, LAX...and we only see ATL from FL370. ;) We also wear shorts, flip flops, and Hollister tees.

Actually, my experience in LA is the same. Everyone wears the uniform proudly. Jackets in the winter and hats throughout. The hats do get a little hot flying through Mexico and Central America and some guys will carry them if so.

I hear ya.

To be honest the hat thing falls so far down my list of gripes it's not worth the effort to let it bother me. When I got hired they said (well the contract said) "you gotta wear the hat". So I wear the hat, who cares. And to be honest, I do think it adds to the professional pilot look.

At any rate, after torpedoed pensions, giant pay cuts and scope going down the toilet, the hat situation is the least of my worries.

Well if these guys in 66 passed a resolution like that, then that is the one the MEC will move on. Trust me. I am sure that is why it was done that way.

I see, so by passing it to ALPA National they solve nothing for the profession, they just get it off their plate. Now it'll be somebody elses problem. :mad:

What a crock of crap. Since when has Lee Moak ever cared about Compass and lesser extent scope. He can try and hide his real reason but it is becoming ever more apparent that Moak could care less about the profession other then wide body's. Never have i heard a MEC from a mainline not want to have influence over the type and size of jet there feed airlines operate. Normally the majors always want a say in these matters. To bad Moak is trying to divide the NWA and Compass group. We were fine and worked together quit well until his crusade to rid Compass from the resources we need to operate our airline succesfully.

This is bad for Delta pilots as well. Who does he think would represent the Delta pilots in the event they get furloughed? If Delta did furlough they then lose control over representation of these pilots at Compass. There's also the very real possibilty that Compass could grow significantly when delta starts adding airplanes. Remember DCI can add 3 76 seat jets for every mainline airplane added. Compass has the potential to be a great deal bigger then 36 76 seat jets and he doesn't want to have a say in how it is run... Straight up stupidty... something doesn't add up.

I guess i still feel like he is trying to divide the group and end the flow. My crystal ball says Compass will be first in line for more 76 seat jets in the future. our economics are the best of the DCI carriers and we have excellent statistics and overall customer satisfaction. God I HOPE I AM WRONG. I would love to be at a airline were I am can hang my hat for 25-30 years and control my own destiny

Currently they are limited by the DALPA JPWA to their current amount of jets.

I'm sure that someone from the MEC delivered the resolution to some idiot who read it for them. Nothing will change here with Moak running the show so we should stop trying to push resolutions through and start recalls. I've yet to hear anyone explain to me why it is a bad thing to try and get Compass on our list. Anyone?????
