I disagree. Brand consistency and consistency of appearance is very important to Delta. It doesn't reflect well to take a casual approach. I don't like wearing a jacket in the heat, should I take it off? Hey, let's take the tie off too. Maybe a T-shirt on Fridays. Do you see where I'm going with this? Don't be caught without the hat.

Guess what, the turmoil in the industry has been going on for40+ years, do you really think that wearing the hat is going to have an effect on it...guys we are not in the military any more, and we puch the clock like everyone else...personally I think its a security issue for the FAs to have their name on the uniform. I agree there's much bigger things to worry about, but that is never going to change...some things are just an irritant |

Deleted because I had not formulated my point well enough. |
How are the fall bookings looking?

Booking are getting better.
FWIW Brand Consistency is not just about your uniform. It goes a lot deep than that and serving coke on the airplane. They tired to fix it with putting DAL employees on the ground for DCI, that did not work. The next step and most logical is putting DAL employees in the flight decks, cabins and fleet managements jobs. That is where your brand consistency comes from. |

Brand consistency may be very important, but it doesn't mean squat to the paying public...when was the last time you heard anyone going to United, Jet Blue, AMR because they liked the uniforms. Perhaps the Pan Am name should be brought back for branding.

Why would you really worry about the economy? You can't do anything about that so why get yourself worked up? That's insane. As for your standard of living I'm assuming you're talking about your contract. Well that train has come and left and won't be around for a few years. Like always pilots didn't work together and lost out but don't worry you'll get em next time. ;)

I love analogies!!! :D:D |
Wouldn't they be similes? :-)

Again, you guys are out in left field if you think the hat issue is something to pick a fight over.
