Airline Pilot Central Forums - Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

Look at old pictures of people who were out of work during the Great Depression. What were they dressed in? By and large, we find them dressed to the nines, even to stand in a bread line. It has everything to do with respect for others and yourself.

I hate to be a stickler here but its actually due to the lack of clothing options in the 1930s. Back then there was no Nike making an outfit for every facet of life.

Plus, if memory serves, one of the reason BRITISH people were always wearing a tie, suit, and hat was that one had to be constantly prepared to look one's best in case the KING or QUEEN walked by.

Probably a fashion trend that the US followed for far too long.

(Fortunately, DAL pilots in Winter uniform are STILL prepared if the Queen should fly DAL . . .presumably not in coach. I wonder if she'd get the "extra bag" fee?)

PS. Saw on Delta Net that the 777 boys will be at Camp Narita starting May 1. Just in time to see the KLM hardbodies out by the pool!

Not to be pedantic about it, but he is Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh, and the Royal Consort, but he is not the King. There is no King until either Charles or one of his sons ascends to the throne.

To be honest, there was only ever one King, and he has left the building, permanently. Died on his throne too, most fittingly.
