Some say Nov now. I have heard late summer. AE only, no displacements as of today. That might change depending on how the flu progresses.

Only planned AE is to fill the 2 777's coming in early 10. That should be sometime in Aug or Sep.

Sailing ,only two? I thought they were going to AE four of em?

We have another couple of 737-700's coming too, don't we?

DCI's getting what, 9 or 11 large RJ's in the summer quarter?

What are the Reps now telling people about furloughs?

Define progression. I don't believe that the WHO will raise the level any higher. To close off borders would send an already crippled global economy into a spiraling death. So unless they do that, I don't see how it would change anything. Several survey results I've seen show folks not altering their travel plans as a result of the swine flu.

Regardless, I'm along for the ride. I can't wait to see where the next turn takes us.

Call em. I do not think anyone knows anything yet. Plan is fluid.

If you want the delivery dates of all of our new jets, go to the DALnet and look in the UPFRONT mag. They are always published in there.......

FEAR. It helped this recession, and it will add to all of the issues related to the flu.

They are not planning furloughs, but can never rule them out. It is just a fact of life.
Our company wants to be nimble so they can jump on any recovery, and any opportunities. I foresee them offering LOA's and PERPS long before furloughs, so do not freak out.
I am not worried, but being smart and preparing for the worst. It is called being responsible, that is all.

Jets are still full for now. My trips have all been oversold.

Yeah I hear ya. It's always a possibility. I agree being prepared for it is the responsible thing to do. I was just thinking that unless the summer 2010 flying plans change they will focus on leaves of absence & SILs before they furlough. That makes more sense from a cost prespective. Now if a pulldown is required for summer 2010 then that could change everything. Like I said, I'm just enjoying the ride.
