Are the costs of owning an airplane included in direct operating costs? I'm not being sarcastic, only asking what the terms mean.

I guess it depends on how you define it, but on that slide, they state, "DOC is comprised of fuel, maintenance, crew cost, and aircraft ownership costs including interest expense."

Does anyone know if Delta put together a Powerpoint presentation for that conference like AirTran did?

Wouldn't that be fun to see? I've been doing google searches but nothing close and I doubt there will be. However, is Skywest puts out a report I'd love to see that thing.

There is a website that reviews all the commercials on Monday.. I will see if I can find it. It's really sad that people do not have enough self control to wait until something is actually released before finding out about it. I'm not throwing rocks at you... but I guess people just don't want to be surprised anymore.. sad.

How did TCU do yesterday?

In the replay of the conference, you can hear him talking about slides, so there is a presentation. On other webcasts, Delta has included the Powerpoint in the webcast. It would be interesting, I agree.

If you find it e-mail it to me. I love finding the data behind the data, and I am sure there is some.

Go to the Investor Relations portion of Delta.com. It's in the SEC filings.

CROT Disappoints Again

Just read the latest Blue Water...

The A330 crew rest facility negotiations, that we supposedly withdrew from, started up again in October. Never heard that mentioned to any of the line pilots on the 330 so there could be feedback.

The new agreement was reached and, voila, SSDD. The permanent facility will be in bulk under the main deck and the rear lavs and the rear galley and near the APU. Same location we complained about on the previous agreement. Can't wait to hit turbulence in that facility or be called to return to the flight deck ASAP.

The only improvement was the Interim Facility which, sadly, sounds like a better solution than the permanent facility. Better for the pilots that is, because it removes a portion of 2 rows of coach seats.

This is what happens when they have negotiations on the QT with no line pilot input in advance. Last time around only 1 of the 3 members of the CROT was qualified on the airplane. The letter did not say if the composition of the CROT committee was the same or not, but the whoever the 330 pilot was should be fired from the CROT.

So much for transparency.

End rant.
