The good news is not only the positive space but they eliminated the two hour rule between the primary and secondary flights. The bad news is that unlike the Delta commuter contractual language is that this is a policy and can be pulled down or amended by flight ops at any time.

quick, someone check if we capitulated on more 76 seaters...

Justdoingmyjob, I read it was 10F in BDL where that 3lb naked cat went that Heather, epic fail, and the cat breeder, who needs one of those anyways, sent Snickers and where Snickers was found dieing. Snickers died a disgustingly painful death. Because of morons.

In other news, here is the moron that, barring a miracle, used herbicide to kill the 130 year old oak trees at Toomers Corner in Auburn because of the Iron Bowl results and then bragged about it.

If they did pull down the new policy, contractually wouldn't they have to go back to the old policy?

Contractually, they would have to go back to the contract language

Next up, we have a policy that conflicts with the pwa. Hope nobody starts confusing the two on the skeds side.
We should take advantage of any opportunity to fix the massive pilot hostile provisions in this new/old policy then. The preface is written just horribly, and the definition section in the preface strictly limits you to "a few times in your career". Seriously? So we are a global leader in the industry and pandering to the noble HVC about our awesome service and reliablilty, but for our own pilots if our airline fails us, twice on the same day, more than three times in a 20-30-40 year career, we are called out on it?

That entire preface needs to go, period. The rest of the details are good but rest assured if we don't fix that venomous preface as soon as the ever changing winds of labor relations change, it will basically be worthless.

Re: The "new commuting policy"...

Is it just me or did anyone else take offense to the tone of the the way the policy was worded?

I'm pi**ed! We are professionals, dammit, and I deeply resent being treated like a mis-behaving child BEFORE I've done anything wrong.

I don't think it''s a stretch to say at least once a rotation I go "above and beyond" for Delta. If this is the way they think of us, they can kiss that work ethic goodbye...

Rant over.

I did not find the preface venomous personally. I read it as setting the boundaries, taking into account the 1% who may find some way to take advantage, IOW it was reasonable. If setting the ground rules to establish a level of trust is venomous, okay, but it did not read to me like the new policy would go away if one pilot had it happen 5 times.

Unfortunately, you sound like the thousands of DCI regional guys (pilots and FAs) that Delta expects to deliver "one level of excellence" for Delta passengers.
