Heyas,

Shrinking pilot group, shrinking airline.

As an APC sage once said "watch their feet..."

Add up the airframes and the pilots and watch the trend vector. It's not looking like bright skies ahead.

What I do see is a bunch of frogs (on flight pay loss, no less) sitting in a pot where it's getting warmer every day, and pretending that they're in a Jacuzzi.

Don't **** on me and tell me it's raining. Some of us are smarter than that.

Easiest way to test MEC's scope resolve.

At an LEC meeting submit resolution that says, all domestic flying with Delta code in an aircraft with "Delta" on the paint job and sold by Delta Airlines will be done by a DAL seniority list pilot. Additionally direct LEC reps to request recorded vote on ALL actions taken on said agenda item.

I have not included international because the current thread addresses holes in domestic scope wrt RJ's.

Send that resolution to an MEC meeting (if it passes at LEC meeting).

If it fails, you have your answer.
If it is "RECEIVED", you have your answer.
If it is TABLED you have your answer.
If it is WITHDRAWN you have a bone to pick with your LEC reps and you have your answer.

If it is EXPUNGED you have your answer.

If it passes be happy with a caveat of doveryai, no proveryai (google it with Ronald Reagan)

George, you've talked to all the key players. You've even "shopped" for a different answer among reps that weren't at the table. Sinkr8 has it right. I understand you don't like the answer. That doesn't change the facts.

Oh, your parting comment was a cheap shot, in my view.

Exactly correct.

That's great, but it doesn't mean anything. The NC gets its direction from the MEC. The MEC is currently all but totally silent on Section 1.

The MEC is the issue, not the NC.

That would slowly draw down the outstanding ASA agreements, giving realistic and reasonable timelines for the sub-contractors to find alternate business opportunities and allow DAL to spool up the recaptured flying on the mainline side.
Exactly. Is this soooo much to ask for that it has paralyzed the vocal chords of our LEC reps?

You know Bar, when you post stuff like this, it makes you sound very simplistic, narrow focused...and absolutely correct.

Haven't gotten there today. I will take a gander. Been perusing the Skyteam web site.
