They only said that because SWAPA negotiated a contract that pays more and has better work rules and super strong scope and an airline that succeeded in running its competitors into chapter 11... wait... ya know, maybe the best answer would be "stick with us guys and goddesses cuz we've got a lot that needs a fixin and we're rollin out magic, bro. *****in focus. all wins. contract 2012, it'll be like being on a space ship to the moon."
Also they have no International Scope, and frankly that is where their growth potential is. It could very well nail them in the six. |

Their management cannot "nail them in the six" without significantly departing from the core philosophy that has made SWA a success.

I've been commuting on comair a lot lately, and it has been awful. Havent been out or in on time in over a month. When chatting with the crew the terrible attitude is right out there for every one to see. I'm sure it's hard for those guys to have a good attitude with all their shrinkage, but sarcastic PAs are not the answer.
Then one day the puppy fetches the bone and goes for a walk and instead of some dog chow, the owner kicks it in the face. Same thing happens the next day, and every day thereafter for several years. Think the dog's gonna play frisbee and fetch the ball??? It would have to be out of its mind to care! |

Currently but that group seems oh so willing to throw the ATN guys under the bus. I have heard they are willing to allow LUV to operate ATN as a separate entity for a few years. Now ain't that a cutout to great scope?

Whoa there FtB. The pay and the scope I agree on.
Prove it about the work rules and benefits. Nu still, i'm as guilty as anyone for being more than willing to argue with both sides of the coin. and I'm no SWA fan but its obvious when it comes to pay they, as we exist today, blow us out of the water. Especially if we really are to equate their 737s to our similiar mission 88s and not our 738. But at no time should anyone who makes that observation be told to quit and go there. http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/temp-151.jpg The funny thing is, excluding the 9 the lowest paying jet is the 88. So if we adopted SWA pay for the 88, our pay for the highest jet will now be the pay for the lowest. i wont hold my breath. |
Former USAF Member Claims Bomb Onboard Delta
This is just very embarrassing. I hope Delta sues him. And I hope the passengers he scared the heck out of do so as well.
