Some of our fellow pilots will recommend you apply elsewhere like Southwest.
Truth be told, there's a lot of the SWA contract I don't want, and yet someone seems sold on the idea that pay rates is what it's all about. Not a whole lot of surprise, seeing as it's coming from the same group chorusing "you guys are getting a huge raise" during the merger...which turned out to be not really true. In the past, most contract surveys I've been sent have included a really nice grid outlining all the important contract points...scope, compensation, hours of service, retirement, medical, etc... and a comparison with all of the other "peer" airlines. It will be REALLY interesting to see who is considered our peers with the survey for 2012, if any. Nu |

I've been commuting on comair a lot lately, and it has been awful. Havent been out or in on time in over a month. When chatting with the crew the terrible attitude is right out there for every one to see. I'm sure it's hard for those guys to have a good attitude with all their shrinkage, but sarcastic PAs are not the answer.

What kind of PAs are you hearing? Asking cause I'm curious.

Yea, I noticed that. "If you don't like it, quit"...That's usually something you hear from a right-wing, union busting management type blathering on Faux News, and not from a good "trade unionist".

GO VOLS! :D Thanks for the GO VOLS... and I have my own controversial questions that I'm gonna bring up... maybe not to RA.. but they will get noticed... :) |
RA is a big boy, he used to have no problems answering controversial questions, the blow back will not come from him... go for it.

This is why I don't pick up green slips as a fellow commuter. I wouldn't recommend saying anything bad about our contract on this board. Some of our fellow pilots will recommend you apply elsewhere like Southwest.

tepid applause, shock fills the room. SD and EB stand slack-jawed. Maddogmax screams "WINNING!" RA: "Sir, I can't believe anyone would ever say that..." Silence. All eyes on Tsquare. Tsquare: "underboob." RA: "I'm sorry say that again?" Tsquare: "uh, boobs." hmmm... i dont think i should ever go to a 'meeting'. I mean in person I can't google a dictionary, correct use and spelling of idioms or post pictures. |
