Nope- Today Show is covering on its entirety.

Also, DST begins this Sunday, Ladies.

still, i'm as guilty as anyone for being more than willing to argue with both sides of the coin. and I'm no SWA fan but its obvious when it comes to pay they, as we exist today, blow us out of the water. Especially if we really are to equate their 737s to our similiar mission 88s and not our 738.

But at no time should anyone who makes that observation be told to quit and go there.

The funny thing is, excluding the 9 the lowest paying jet is the 88. So if we adopted SWA pay for the 88, our pay for the highest jet will now be the pay for the lowest. i wont hold my breath.

DAL 16-747s
SWA 548-737s

Yet another reason why size shouldn't matter

Yep-what happens to the 747 pay should the 747 be parked? Also, shouldn't the comparison be between average W-2s and days worked, not simply hourly rates?

Having been to Wake Island, I'll bet that place got submersed. The highest point is only 16 feet.

Well I can tell you this... a HUGE number of guys downstream from that airplane will take a paycut..

Do you think anyone has the numbers for SWA and DAL that are TAFB/finalW2?

That number, I believe, would cause many DAL pilots to pass out in the jetway and be unfit to fly the next leg.

It's not just about the money....

True, but keep in mind, SWA pilots aren't all doing six leg days from BWI to SAT to ELP anymore. I read recently that their average duty day is around 8-9 hours. I think we have a great deal to learn, and hopefully gain, from their contract. Or did I misconstrue your post?

Yep- like dumping their schedule for the month if they would rather backpack around New Zealand. :)
