Throw in that the only PROTECTED aircraft we had were the 400, 200 and mythical 787 we are hosed. The RDs have the 777 with more coming that we are restricted from(even though they will be used on the routes we brought) and for some reason the 767-400 is protected, but the 330 is not. We are going to take the displacements prior to SOC but after BP5/SOC when the JCBA work rules kick in, the Southwill be able to bid the extra posistions created(except the shrinking 400 fleet). They out maneuvered us at every turn. Good for them, bad for us.

Duuude......

They've always said, the south will rise again.

MmmmmmK. I was hoping for some real feedback, not flamebait. I don't recall reading in the arbitrators ruling that ANY 767 was fenced. Please, no more flamebait.

Yeah, my fellow Noth brother, the 767-400 is not protected. When SOC comes, bid to what you want, except the 777's. So, even when a South guy bids to the 777, he opens a place for you, right?

Both sides got screwed in the SLI, so can we all now be happy?

No takers here. Your first post was not a good one.

Nerd,
Looks like you picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue.

:) Scoop - Wondering how many 747 guys will flow into LAX above me, but am still happy we are not USAIR!

How many south guys are going to bid the 330? I don't mean that as flamebait as there is going to be a lot of intermixing and there might be some that want to fly it, especially if they move it to ATL. So, for those of us that might fall off of the 330 does anybody know or have a site to compare where we would sit in other bases/equipment.

Nerd-the 767 isn't protected and since Boeing has so messed up the 787 program Dal really doesn't have much of a choice but to convert those orders to 777 and even if they do fall to Dal that will still be guys that won't be bidding the 330 etc. which is all some of us want to stay on. So, any new widebody airplane that hits the property is good news. Side note-the rumor of ten more 330s is still out there.

I would probably bid the A330, but (a) I have so little seniority, it's gonna be years before I think I could hold it and (b) I live close to DTW, so sitting reserve wouldn't kill me. I'm currently on the 7ER out of JFK, and I must say I haven't heard anyone saying they want to bid the A330. But, they don't say they want to bid the 767-400 out of ATL either. To me, it seems that the 7ER folks have made their peace with flying out of JFK and all that comes with it - they are content with it.

I posted in this thread http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/ma...uipment-4.html the Delta-South equipment, and the numbers of the junior CA/FO in each base. I can't figure where you would sit, but what I posted might be a start.

Heard later today that 4 might be parked but if they do it than 2 will be kept around for charters as the -200s are retired. We'll see

765 will probably go to NYC. 330's will leave SEA and a bunch of other stuff will get shifted around in the next few year. Everyone is going to feel duped when we start having surplus bids and displacements. It is what it is. I will enjoy the 767 while I can.

If I can hold a line on the 330 or 765 I will be it. SEA looks nice, and LAX might not be a bad commute. We will see.

Yea...I suspect that any 777 that are replacements for 787 will go to FNWA pilots....so FNWA pilots are not screwed if the 787 orders are converted. If the 747-400s are parked the replacements may also be FNWA pilots. That's what the post-merger assesments are for:)
