From the looks of it I'd bet hardwood floors or maybe a hall runner at the most. :-)

Drawing a brainfart right now but I was perusing the Trip Coverage and came across a 3 day trip assigned to a reserve that had this in the notes section of the trip:

"WL ND FO DUE SICK/CVRG NYC 8041/28..RESERVE ONLY..NO
WHIS..NO GRES..CG"

My question is, if you have a WS or GS in and the trip meets your criteria, why are they able to deny that right off the bat and give it to a reserve? GS I understand, but not the WS part. Perhaps I'm suffering from sleep deprivation but I wasn't aware that they could do that.

Hopefully your sales person downloaded and installed advanced task killer free for you. That will help your battery life.

What carrier did u go with? Not Sure what wifi calling app u are using.

Thanks Nosmo. I was kinda thinking about doing the same thing. After some searching I think I found that I actually need to disable 2 items. One says "use packet data" and the other says "data roaming."

No they didn't download advanced task killer. What is it?

I've had a family plan with T-Mobile for 8 years now and have, on the whole, been very happy with them so I stayed. Not sure what the merger will mean but I figure the actual merger will take a year if I don't like AT&T after that then I only have a year left.

The wifi calling is an app that came preloaded on the phone. I'm figuring it doesn't work to well 'cause it's having problems connecting to a wifi network. Skype works fine.

I have seen that a bunch. As far as I know, they can't Reality is that they have the coverage, and should assign it in order.

I can't point you to the contract section but I've seen the "only to a reserve" before. I'll bet if they needed a guy badly enough they will make it a greenslip trip.

I believe that happens when a trip is covering for another base.

I'm guessing this was a NYC trip, they tried to cover it with white slip, out of base white slip, reserve, green slip, out of base green slip and couldn't. The trip now originates in ATL (just guessing) with a deadhead to NYC to cover the trip.

If you had an out of base ws or gs request in for NYC you would have gotten the trip.

Thanks guys. That makes sense. The way I read it I thought they were saying "don't give it out as either a WS or GS" which I couldn't see that they had a right to do. Looks like I should have had a GS in for NYC today.:)

"Advanced Task Killer Free" is in the Android Market. I use it a few times a day to kill all the crapware using up memory and cpu. Not sure about TMo, but most carriers seem to pre load Android phones with a few programs that load on startup and stay loaded while the phone is on. Quite annoying if you don't use Facebook or Twitter or whatever crapware they decided to force upon you.

There are several other apps that I consider essential for Android phones but I am sure my list differs from other Android users in this thread. As I recall on some Samsungs, Google Maps is not preloaded (and thus the freebie Goggle Navigation is not loaded), I also use an alternative gmail app called K-9, a volume control program with individual sliders for each ring/sound/notification/alarm and of course Firefox for iCrew. I have also used Radar Now while flight planning because it shows me a better wx radar depiction than ... um ... AmishAir.com. There are a few others that I won't list here.

Send me a PM if u need more help or suggestions and enjoy the freedom of a phone unfettered by Der Fuehrer Steve Jobs.

P.S. Grab that Tmo unlimited data plan and sit on it thru the merger. ATT has no more unlimited plans, the TMo plan is way cheap for unlimited, and you would likely be grandfathered on that plan after the merger.
