I'm too lazy to look this up to confirm but when I studied latin I read that, and this is pertinent to the gladiator movie, that in the gladiator fights if the crowd wanted you to kill a man they gave you a thumbs up not a thumbs down sign as they did in the movie. Kind of green light go for it. Kind of like Michael Scott on the Office, his notes about his clients included green check marks or circles or something, which meant "GO AHEAD and don't talk about that." But of course Dwight didn't know that when he stole Michael's Rolodex and tried to make small talk and impress a sensitive client about his son's homosexual lifestyle. I always thought that was great, green means go ahead and don't talk about that.

As to 80's whereabouts, pretty sure he's probably flying. Don't know, didn't look, but he is on the 737 and it is a man eater. The funny thing is I believe we both sit about the same % in category but I fly 4 days a month and he flies 40...

My daughter and I were playing in her sandbox. I was digging a trench, I dig trenches, and she was playing with the new soft grainy sand I'd put in. Out of nowhere she pitched that stuff straight into my face and my face was not far from her hands. I washed and washed and washed my eye but holy cow that hurt.

The funny thing is, it's not the first girl to throw sand in my face. :D

But this time I didn't deserve it, man. still hurts.

Errr, so are you saying they can deny a swap requested at 0700/20 Apr for a May trip due to reserve coverage even though they don't know what coverage they have?

What about spillover trips from May into June?

You'll be able to attempt to drop, swap, etc, a trip in May when the May schedule bids are finalized. They don't know the reserve coverage requirements until the bids for that month are finalized. Same thing applies to June. When June bids are published, you can swap, drop, or attempt any of the above at that time.

speaking of swaps......this not being able to trade trips with the open time pot within 48 hours of the trip is total BS.
It has nothing to do with coverage, just some stupid contractual rule. Does anyone know the rational behind this little gem?

Ugh that means you can't drop a May trip with spillover into June until 20 May. I have to go change my bid to stay out of spillover groundhog day.

Yeah, I try to avoid spills. It works well if you want to get off to a fast start for the next month and then pull the throttles back but, generally, I try to avoid them.
