Yep, we're screwed. I'm glad we were the acquiring company.

DTW ain't bad. Novi is a nice area. But I am looking to commute there, so I do not really care. Plus, Ann Arbor is a close drive, and I am sure there are a few coeds looking for someone to rent with ;)

You DOGGG you!!

Don't worry Ralphie. I'm actually wanting to stay in DTW. I don't know if you're senior to me, but if not this I'm one less guy that will take LAX, ATL, or SLC from ya.;)

Nah, I'm not. Every DAL North guy/gal is senior to me. It's all good, probably be furloughed already if not for the merger. I'd be a little bummed if I have to fly the -9 in ATL though, not because of the plane but because I'd lose the pay protection I'll have for a few months coming off of the 76 to the Dog.

For all those grammatically challenged, notice the above proper use of the word 'lose.' I'm not loosing pay protection, I'm losing it ;-)

Oh, OK. Just thought I'd try to help.:D And BTW, I will be bummed if I have to fly the DC9 in ATL. It's already sooooooo hot flying it through MSP and DTW in the summer. I don't even want to think about flying it down South!;)

I can not say how much I think this is a huge mistake for Delta. Atlanta concourses are way too small and extremely congested. Additionally, when you are late coming into the airport, don't expect to arrive to the gate anytime soon because they will put you on runway 10/28 and it will take you 10-20 minutes to cross two congested runways. Then to throw salt on the wound, your gate is blocked or the ramp is too congested for you to even get there.

Seriously, Atlanta is a mess operationally. I wish RA and the other managers would realize this. Passengers, mostly their fault, book connections that are too close, but, the mighty Delta.com site sure lets them do it without any warnings.
Listen, as aircrew, I'm having to hoof it from gate to gate in minimum time. Why are we doing this to the passengers?

Have you been to JFK in the last few years? ATL is a cake walk.

ts,

I only posted that so as to make you feel better so that you could say, "I told you so."

So, come on.....

(Pssst!! Secretly, I'm telling those FL and East commuters to go to ATL so I can get more senior in DTW. Don't tell anybody.) :D

"Man, your're gonna fly another hour and a half past Atlanta just to get to Detroit, so you can de-ice 3 times a day? Come on! Really? If I were you, I'd bid THE A-T-L."

I hear the real estate market is a steal in DTW right now. Any suggestions on a good neighborhood. Captain Tomcat, got a certain ring to it!:)

But the kicker is, with loads being high, when you cancel oversold flights, people suddenly are screwed and you just caused their worst nightmare ... staying in Atlanta.

And CVG is turning into a ghost town:(

Yes, I'm NYC based. The point is, they want to make ATL bigger! Are you nuts?

We need to beef CVG and our other midwest hubs up ... and bring back ON-TIME DEPARTURES and ARRIVALS.

Imagine that!
